✦ AI summary

Skully Pinball is a barebones pinball game with only two reused demo tables and minimal audio that frustrates players with poor controls, limited camera view options, and a confusing interface. Most critically, the game appears to have been abandoned by its developer years ago while still marked as Early Access on Steam, leaving players with a broken product they struggle to get refunds for. The graphics are the only marginally redeeming quality, but they're insufficient to overcome the game's numerous design flaws and lack of content.

Developer/Publisher: RewindApp Released: April 16, 2019 This is a very frustrating game to play. There are only two tables, "Day of Dead" and "Octopus Island." These two tables are an asset swap from the Pinball Creator asset package. My understanding is that these were the 2 Demo tables from that package. Although the graphics aren't all that good, they are the best thing about this game. The music and sound effects are bare bones affairs. The music, in fact, gets on my nerves. CONTROLS Left Flippers = S Right Flippers = L Plunger = Enter Change View = C Pause = P CAMERA VIEWS There are four camera views, but the truly frustrating thing, for me anyway, is that you can't change views before you launch the ball, causing me to lose a ball while hunting for the S and L keys. POSITIVE There is a separate Leaderboard for each of the two tables, and entering in initials is an easy affair. NEGATIVES *There are only 2 tables *Controls can't be remapped to different keys *No controller support *Music is irritating and simplistic. CONCLUSION Don't waste your money or time with this mess.
Abandoned By The Developer
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I have always thought there's a lot to like about Steam and its basic eco-system. But there are a number of problems as well. Skully Pinball is a great example of some of the things about Steam that are seriously overdue for fixing. Like "Early Access" - the idea sounds good in theory but as implemented it has a bunch of problems. The biggest of which is that it lasts indefinitely and doesn't have an automatic expiration date. Skully Pinball is marked as "Early Access" but hasn't seen an update in 5 years and appears to be abandoned by the developer. Yet it's still for sale, probably not actually selling but probably occasionally inconveniencing people who buy it and then have to request a refund. I'd like to propose that Valve add an expiration date to "Early Access" games of no more than 2 years from the day they're first put into the store. When the expiration date comes, if the game has been updated within, oh, say the last 6 months, then it remains in the store but the "Early Access" tag is removed. If the game hasn't been updated in that time, however, it's removed from the store altoget…

Pure garbage. I want my 28 cents back so I can put it towards a pack of Juicy Fruit. Its flavor will last longer than this crap did.
