About Snik
✦ AI summary
Guide your dark blue ball through a minimalist maze, clicking to navigate straight paths while collecting golden orbs and avoiding colorful rotating, moving, and stationary barriers. This ultra-challenging reflex test demands precise timing and planning as you protect orbiting allies and adapt to barriers that rotate, patrol, vanish, and evolve throughout each punishing level.
Snik is an extremely hard game that will test your reflexes, timing, aiming and planning ahead in a simple, minimalist interface.
You control a dark blue colored ball. Clicking a position in the screen will make the ball travel to that position in a straight line. You need to collect all golden orbs to win.
You lose the game by hitting barriers. They come in red, light blue, purple and green flavors.
BLUE - Standalone, stationary barriers.
RED - Rotates around a parent barrier in a circular orbit.
GREEN - Moves along a defined path in a loop.
BLACK - Stationary, disappears when a certain orb is collected.
In some levels, you have orange colored purple orbiting around you. You need to protect them too!

Snik has a genuinely clever concept — guiding your dot through waves of obstacles to collect orbs feels like a minimalist puzzle game with real potential, and the music is a surprisingly pleasant touch. But the difficulty curve is basically a cliff: by level 2 you're already dealing with tight move and time limits that feel borderline impossible to hit perfectly, and the slow, floaty controls make precision feel more like luck than skill. Getting even 2 stars on most levels had me restarting dozens of times, and the satisfaction of success never quite outweighed the frustration of failure. The bugged achievements (you unlock them just by finishing a level, no stars required) are honestly the most forgiving thing about the whole package. At this price point, there are better puzzle games that respect your time — only pick this up if you have a genuine appetite for near-impossible precision challenges.

The only saving grace for this title is that the achievements are broken and you can unlock them just by completing the level - you don't need to get 3 stars. That being said, only consider getting this if you enjoy artificial and needlessly difficult puzzle games (like The World's Hardest Game but with more jank).
Snik is an interesting idea with a broken achievement system with a very random difficulty curve. The difficulty of the levels is all over the place, and I'm not sure if it's actually possible to achieve three stars in any given level - i'd be interested to see if it was doable, but it's not actually required - simply exiting the game after playing a level will grant you it's achievement, as is documented on the one guide on here. I get the feeling this was made with a level of effort and intent, but unfortunately seems to flub the execution at the final hurdle. Might be worth a look if you're curious, but it isn't something i'd recommend as a full-price purchase.
