[後半に日本語レビューあり]
Five Personas, Five Lies: A Keyword-Driven Surveillance-Cam Mystery ADV
This is a dialogue-driven mystery ADV in which you interrogate a suspect in a presidential candidate's murder through surveillance cameras. The suspect, a girl named Sofia, has dissociative identity disorder, with five distinct personas dormant within her. As the psychiatrist Philip, you type words from a remote location, relying solely on camera footage of the interrogation room to pose questions. Through unraveling the memories and lies each persona holds, you work toward uncovering the truth behind the crime. The constraint of discerning truth from fiction through footage and audio alone, without ever meeting face to face, creates a unique sense of tension. "I killed him. But it wasn't me" -- the story beginning with this single line grows more complex and deeper with each exchange. The standout feature is the keyword-input conversation system. You pick up clues from Sofia's responses and type related words to unlock new information. Collected words accumulate on a "keyword map," visually organizing the connections between pieces of evidence. The sensation of filling in the map's bla…19 found this helpful
i enjoyed this game a lot. great story and mechanics. huge credits to the voice actor for doing an incredible job embodying all the personalities so well. i do wish i could click hinted keywords directly from the keyword map to search. having to search every other line near the end became tedious quick. some accepted keywords are also too specific. still an amazing game to experience. definitely deserves a lot of love. looking forward to future works of the devs.3 found this helpful
Nothing revolutionary, but overall enjoyable enough, a lil pricey even at 40% discount, perfectly fine 7/10 Sofia cute
Good game with nice visual + voice acting Tho the BGM and gameplay can be a bit of lacking
"Flowers for Algernon" mentioned - instant recommend! Will update my review after the ending.
Fantastic game with a mechanic that's been tried before but it feels like Sofia in Exchange for Lies makes a big step towards making the mechanic good. Sometimes the keywords can feel hard to figure out and you'll end up scouring the internet looking for a keyword map to find what you're missing. The game's also a little expensive imo, but I don't regret getting it on 35% discount. A short experience, but one I'll think about for a while. 4/5
