What Steam players say

Players appreciate the core sand manipulation mechanics as a fun gameplay concept, but the game suffers from significant technical issues including lag, broken multiplayer, crashes on Linux, and an outdated interface that hinders enjoyment. The story fails to engage most players, and with the game appearing to be abandoned by developers, performance problems remain unfixed, making it difficult to recommend except to those specifically interested in the sand mechanic mechanics alone.
The mechanics of this game are pretty fun, but the game is a bit broken and the UI is a bit dated. Once the developers gain more experience it would be cool to see a remake. I also don't remember the story, if I remember right, it kinda went over my head because I wasn't paying attention to it. I still think it's worth playing for the sand manipulation mechanics, but I can't exactly recommend it to most people.2 found this helpful
Laggy, hard to properly play, and a bit ugly. My rating is 3.5/101 found this helpful
Son of Bore
totally broken multiplayer
Fort squidwarrrrrrrrddddddd
LINUX: Back when the game came out, I played through out the tutorial and first act. I enjoyed it. But then they made some kind of updates and the game stopped working on Linux. Now, a decade later, the game still crashes to desktop as soon as you start loading the level. So the game is unplayable. Since this has been an abandoned project for quite a while now, I don't see them solving any problems. If you are thinking about this game and you use Linux, then don't bother.
