About Songs of Armageddopolis
Songs Of Armageddopolis is a point'n'click detective game. In a world where magic and technology go hand in hand, and people disappear without a trace every day, you will play the role of a young psionic named Glaz, who is doing an internship at a detective bureau. The bosses don't like you. You think that the reason for this antipathy is the form of your head: it is too round. But that is not the point. The point is: you stink of death and defeat. Why are you even here? Well, there were some reasons, probably, but now they are of no significance. This city has secrets and you must reveal them. To become the best detective. To plunge your enemies into dust. And to find your true love.

Oh, God, this game is weird. It's so so damn weird. First of all, it consists of two parts: platformer and point'n'click adventure. Both two parts are weird. In platformer you use mouse to control your character. I mean... where have you seen such a thing: platformer with mouse controls? What? First few minutes I was very confused with such controls, but then I got used to it and it turned out to be actually very fun. The only pain in the ass: levers. It's sometimes very hard to activate levers and control character movement at the same time. What's about adventure? Well, guess what, it's even more weird than platformer. You're kind of detective, but to investigate you use some strange device that is attached to your intuition. So, to go on with investigation you often need to do some random things to trigger your intuition. Fortunately, there are not so much active objects on the screen so game doesn't make you feel lost. Most of them time it's pretty easy to figure out what to do. I got stuck only two times. First time at the prologue. when two guys are drinking coffee(I needed to click on lamps so they can start conversating). And second time in chapter 4, when it was needed to …10 found this helpful
My real playtime isn't 1.4 but 6.6.. Unfortunately, I had to be offline and steam counts weirdly. I am saying this because the game isn't small but it isn't huge either.. It definitely isn't 1.4 hours.. Quirky little game that will draw your attention. It doesn't make much sense at start (or at the end) but, if you pay enough attention to the details, you will come to understand a very dark reality. At the same time, there is hope lost between the cracks. The puzzles to some might seem illogical but they aren't. It is recommended to finish the first playthrough using your "intuition" and not logic. On your second playthrough (or upon finishing the game most likely) things will be much clearer but not "set in stone". It has a couple of very witty mini games and of course the platforming section. That section has a unique feeling to it by how you control the character. The mouse is responsible. The music and sounds were nice (for some reason mine were turned to 0% at start, I was surprised) along with the art. The English are ok in the game. Only a book is a bit weird to read. The game doesn't really have any negatives apart from sometimes having to move the mouse frantically on…4 found this helpful
gonna be honest, the movement system alone is way too infuriating for me3 found this helpful
Illogical riddles (and no walkthrough available neither), bugs which make getting the good ending impossible (during the jump and run scenes), the developer's aren't responding to their discussion section neither, if you die in this game then you can't play it anymore at all (trying to tell us that this was made with purpose for getting a real death feeling) and I even got the assuming, that this game's another one of those Russian ones, which pretend to be Ukrainian ones. Because it's really weird that this game only offers Russian and English languages, but not their own one! Except for all of those big issues here I can't really count it as a good click & point nor a jump and run experience! In the platform game scenes, you move your hero only with the left mouse button around in a very clumsy way. And honestly forget the "jump" part, that's only possible if you move to "trampolin-floors". The click and point experience on the other hand is so awful, because it's very limited. Do you remember those games for kids, which were just a mouse clicking experience? In which you were just dragging and dropping objects around of the screen? That's how it feels here. You don't pick up o…
