About Space Dance
Old-school twin-stick arcade shooter where enemies spawn to the beat of the music, made casual enough to fit into your lunch break. Easy to get going, challenging to finish, and nearly impossible to master the highscore.
Our new link-gun mechanic allows you to balance between an increased score multiplier and the risk of keeping more enemies alive. More risk means more rewards, so the only way to get a good score is to play with maximum difficulty.
If you succeed, each level is the length of one song, so about 2-3 minutes per round.

Neat little game, the link-gun mechanic is pretty cool and makes things interesting while adding some challenge to the gameplay. You link enemies to capture them because they will combo up your score, however, doing this will make it more difficult to maneuver around so you might end up hurting yourself, it's a neat trade-off. Since Space Dance is in Early Access there can still be some improvements and I would love to see a bit more "hype" or excitement while playing. For example if I pass my old score how about telling me? Make it pop out or put it in the black background and have it fade away after telling me or something. Maybe when you pass a friend's score show it on screen somewhere to let me know I'm doing awesome and to keep me doing my best. The leaderboards need improvement as well, currently they show your score and the top score. Why doesn't it show my rank compared with the #1 score? I want to know where I stand and how much better I need to do to pass that top score. I also would love it if I could see how I compare with friends who have played too, friend leaderboards are usually a good thing to include also and a way to be able to scroll through the list in-game …4 found this helpful
A fun and challenging space arcade shooter with a great EDM track a bit too short atm when you complete the game but it is EA and under a buck. 8/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAlsJUKPWgk1 found this helpful
If Space Invaders Had More Rhythm and Space Snakes.. It would be this game. Pros Graphics - Looks superb and had a great style. Audio - While not my type of music it has some great tunes and clear sound design that add to the tension of the challenge. Controls - Superbly responsive and easy to understand. Gameplay - It makes you feel like you are a retro trip and even if you suck like me you KEEP wanting to come back to it to get further. Cons Length - As a simple arcade game, once it is done it is done, there is no second level or alternative modes. Play Area - I personally found play area to small for the VERY perfect movement that was required to stay alive and win as the difficulty ramps up. Misc Co-Op or alternative modes/play styles would have added more replay-ability. Overall Recommendation Get it in a sale and have a few hours of fun/come back to it for 10 minutes a day and see how long you can last!
A neat little time waster! Hopefully somewhere down the line they can add more in-game settings options such as lowering the volume and the game needs to be optimized a bit better. I run a pretty beefy setup and was still dropping frames for some reason.
This is a cool twin stick shooter with great music and a challenging level. The game is going for .99 cents right now with a sale price of .84 cents. It is definitely worth it even if you only pay it for an hour. Imagine all the quarters you would have put in a machine back in the day to continue playing. To get a higher score you have to combine the enemies together and destroy them but doing so makes it more difficult to maneuver around. The screen does get a little crowded which if you could navigate around the enemies will get you more points. My only recommendation so far is I wish there was a manual or tutorial that explained how to play the game but after a few tries I figured it out. I've only payed 39 minutes so far but I do plan on playing more.
