Too much tedious/overly complex crafting that gets in the way of the digging.3 found this helpful
Frezes after around a hour and because the game has no autosaves you lose......
Overall, this game is good for its price. I got it for $4 on sale, but even its base price of $5 would be acceptable. It's very short and doesn't really have much replay value, but overall its good. The only other digging game I have played is A Game About Digging A Hole when it first came out. Compared to that, this game is a lot more complex. There's more crafting than digging. Even the most complex recipes in this game only have a depth of 4 or 5, so if you've ever played a game with even basic crafting you should be good, but it may be a bit of a shock if you're coming from games like AGADAH that has no crafting and all upgrades are locked behind money. This game has no money, all upgrades need to be crafted. Again, coming from games like AGADAH, this game has far less digging. Once you craft all the basic spells, you unlock a way of renewably generating all the ore resources, which completely negates the need for mining except to explore. After this point, ore stops spawning anyway and the assumption is that you'll just be digging little tunnels big enough for you to walk through. If you're looking for a game that doesn't require any thinking and you just go and dig, there a…
Nice little time sink for a few bucks, fairly fun too.
I'm just gonna do a straight forward review on this game. The mining loop of digging then mana recharge craft a thing or two then go back down is fun, but once you get the auto miner you never touch an ore again. It doesn't help that the auto miner is very inexpensive and has the same holding strength of your chest. The crafting is intuitive and not overly complex to anyone who's played a sandbox game like terraria for example. The wings spell honestly needs a bit more speed, once you get the teleport you never touch this spell unless u are falling really far down. I would like to see more music because after the 1st hour it gets repetitive, and I ended up putting my own on for the remainder of the playthrough In the end I enjoyed the game the crafting felt satisfying and I would recommend you check it out.
A good game that is missing some quality of life things, but if you are looking for a game like this i would recommend. QOL i would recommend A chest system so i dont have 100 ores in my house a way to drop a stack of things/with the auto miner a way to not just fill your inventory with 48 green then have to deal with it.
