Sphere Fight

Challenging gameplay and great boss battles. The power ups are fun to use and the changing environments keep things interesting. Starting as small energy ball searching for a sphere to use in battle might suggest a deeper story is being told. For a demo, there is much to try out. A simple in concept but fun game, the gameplay loop of attempt, upgrade and repeat while trying to beat your previous best or to improve your position on the leaderboards is enjoyable. I’ve easily gotten my $5 worth of enjoyment from the game, and I’ll probably still be playing on and off for a while yet. I do have one piece of advice for the developer though, add a link to the armory and/or the workshop to the screen shown when you fail. The experience bar showing advancement is great but herding the player to where that can be spent would be even better.

Good looking little game, good sfx, very good music. Was worth its price!

If you like Balls this game is for you Now that i have your attention, to sum up the game its an arcade style high score based skill game You can choose up to 4 abilities to use (each with cooldowns) as you play you'll unlock a somewhat broad range of them (hopefully more to come in the future) There is meta progression based on your level, higher level = more point to put into abilities Every ball you fight against will have strengths and weaknesses to your abilities, part of the fun is figuring out the best time and strategy to deal with each among the chaos in each wave of enemies you fight Highly recommend just trying the demo to see if its for you (Its only the default platform, but you'll get a good feel for the gameplay) (Every other platform has a unique gimmick to spice up gameplay)

Positive: - Solid base gameplay and good physics - Varied arenas - Varied enemies - Very creative abilites and motivating skill development options. I'd like the descriptions to be a bit clearer. They left me a bit confused at first. But since you can just try everything, it's not a big issue. It's really fun to think about which four abilities to take to the next arena! Negative: - Repetetive gameply loop: for each arena, it's fun to figure out the mechanics. Afterwards, I always use the same tactics and just wait until I can deploy the best ability to take out the enemies that are on the field right now. - The flat levels feel a bit boring. I would have loved to have some 3D-objects in the arena that you can roll up or down. Or something that you can slide along like in a scateboard game or an old-fashioned spaceship game. In summary this seems like quite a fun game that doesn't take too much time to get into. I don't think it'll be something that I'll sink many hours into, but I think it'll be good for a few more playing sessions. Especially on sale it's a good deal!

A very fun game for when there is not too much time to play! I definetly recommend it, and 4€ is awfully cheap considering a single person designed the whole game by themselves and put so much work in!
