Spiral Dystopia is a sprawling visual novel where you guide a priest and his companions through a supernatural crisis unfolding in rural Japan, making choices that determine which of a dozen-plus endings you'll reach. With over 300,000 words of fully voiced story, hand-drawn art, and multiple branching routes, your decisions will reshape the fate of the world and everyone you care about.
Once, a priest and his two beloved daughters lived together in a shrine.
One day, a traveler appeared.
"When snow falls in summer, the world will meet its end. But there is still time to stop it," the traveler said.
Lightning fell and calamity arose from the deep. It welled up within the people and spoke to them from beyond the wall. "Make slaves of the fruit. This is the Law."
The traveler will raise the sword. The father will guard his daughters.
The three fruits must be protected.
A time for choices will come. The choices will be absolute, no matter what form they might take.
With choices made, the world will change around them. Under the watchful eye, it must change.
The end is at hand, and the future of the world will be decided in a small town in the Japanese countryside. Will Kou fight to protect his loved ones from the merciless hands of fate, or will he let the Rite of the Law run its course?

I played with the R18+ patch. This VN does not depict women in a positive light. They are forced into sex and are treated like slaves. I purchased this game, expecting it to be suitable for all ages. Unfortunately, I was sorely mistaken. After playing it, I realized that crucial parts of the story were missing, no CG, making it challenging to understand the plot without the 18+ patch. Now, I just hope this game isn't going too far with its content........... wth......1 found this helpful
Spiral Dystopia is a story-heavy fantasy visual novel that begins with the comforts of ordinary life before steadily pulling its characters into a disturbing supernatural crisis. Developed by LiLiM and published by Kagura Games, it focuses on lengthy storytelling, relationships, mystery, player decisions, and multiple possible conclusions. The game is clearly designed for visual novel enthusiasts who enjoy gradually uncovering a complicated narrative rather than players looking for constant action. The protagonist, Kou Osakaki, has grown up around his family's shrine and lives a relatively peaceful existence surrounded by familiar faces. That stability begins to disappear when unusual circumstances emerge around his school life and a mysterious girl enters the picture. A disturbing prophecy involving snow falling during summer and an approaching end to the world soon transforms what initially feels like a personal coming-of-age story into something much darker. Supernatural forces, strange rules, fate, and the possibility of catastrophe become increasingly important as Kou attempts to understand what is happening and protect those closest to him.
