The art is good, the writing is decent but the stories and characters just didn't click with me, and on the whole feels a bit much like trying too hard at making a sob story, but if you like story heavy games this one might be for you, here's some things that I really disliked about it and why this is a negative review: the game uses the RPGMaker engine and that means you're gonna be playing it in a tiny window squinting at pixel art, I've played it on a 1080p monitor and already had to get closer just to see what I'm looking at; the movement speed of the main character is painfully slow and this is a deliberate choice on the part of the devs, I know from playing other RPGMaker games that it's possible to have faster movement and add sprinting, it's not much of an issue at first but later on as you get access to bigger areas it can be really grating and exactly what made me quit and write this. The part of the game I was in had a big area with with a dozen different things you have go back and forth to, what would be a maybe 5-10 minute puzzle is now a half hour endeavor just because of your movement speed. So yeah, if you have a lot of patience and prefer your games to be text-hea…2 found this helpful
The way I cried at the end was incomprehensible.
I actually pirated this game before (sorry developer team) and finished it with tears in my eyes because of the ending. Suddenly this game came back to mind so i bought it to support the dev hehe~ I just wanna say tht this game is sooo beautiful with the simple way of its story tellingg. The moment i heard the music, i just felt the nostalgia again aahh i miss the feeling ;-; i wish they make more games like this. 100000/100 ⭐
I played this game because I saw someone put this game as their all time favorites story driven game. True to said, it is such a beautifully written story game with wonderful graphics and ost. Rakuen tugged my heart strings so hard, I definitely bawled my eyes out. Everyone should try the game out !
Emotionally rich, sweet, and sad game. With great music and very pretty visuals, it made me feel a lot of feelings. There is a lot less gameplay than story here, so if you prefer story heavy games this is the place to be.
I must just really like being kicked in the nuts. Why else would I be sobbing?
