About Sproots
🍃 Sproots is a colony survivial game where you control small Pikmin-like creatures in a Sims-esque manner 🍃
🌊 Each 'sproot' is in constant need of food and water. Their camp is always located near a 'life plant' where they gather water, but you'll have to help them out getting food! 🌊
💀 Eventually every sproot will die of age (around 60), so be sure to let them breed new eggs on their nest! 🥚
🌟 During their lifetime they can study objects, learn skills, craft structures and items, and teach each other about their findings! 🌟

features
controls
- left mouse button to click/select
- right mouse button to cancel
- ASWD to quickly move camera (even faster if you also hold shift)
- H to warp back to camp
- numbers to quickly select units

Click sproot >> click bush >> click sproot >> click pot >> click pot again >> NO DON'T EAT IT >> click sproot >> click pot >> click sproot >> click pot >> click different sproot >> click pot >> click berry >> click pot >> click berry. This was to feed one sproot, if you have more than three then good luck. Food automation/sproots going to the food pots when hungry would have done so much for the game.3 found this helpful
I couldn’t make it through this one. Sokpop really likes making a simple game and putting it in a massive world. I felt like I could walk forever but there’s not a lot there an a little confusing1 found this helpful
Some weird minimalist crafting survivor where you don't really know what you should do1 found this helpful
Love this game. A little tricky to get the hang of at first, but its def one of those types of games where you have to be ok with starting over and trying again. It really does feel inspired by Pikmin. There are a lot of bugs, though. And there are no save states. Made it past day 100 and mistakenly clicked "new game" and lost my save. Huge bummer! I WOULD reccthe game to others, but only after warning them that this game might break their heart, not just because of the gameplay but because of the crashes.
One of the worst Sokpop's ever made. FOV might as well be the size of a postage stamp, which is terrible for a game of this kind, and no world minimap, no introduction, no tutorial, no explanation of the game's systems. My major gripe is with the interface. At least with Stackland you can pause and get your bearings. It's just extremely user unfriendly. That's bad design.
Really not sure whether to recommend or not... The game itself, aside from one major bug and frequent crashing is pretty fun. It's very similar to Sokpop's Pyramida, but with Pikmin-like creatures. The constant crashing is irritating, but there's autosave so you won't lose much progress. However, the item-giving bug is much more of a problem IMO: When you let one Sproot give an item to another Sproot which already has a full inventory, the item you are giving will simply disappear. If that happens to an item that took some effort to craft, that's not fun. TIP: If the game keeps crashing when selecting a Sproot from the bottom bar, try moving your camera manually to it first, and try again. And a WARNING: Be very careful when selecting continue or new game on the main menu. If you click new game on accident, your save will be deleted without confirmation.
