I really had fun playing the game! It was a bit difficult at the beginning because the game is very deep and everything has a lot of effects. Running a bakery is not just about making bread, it also requires good business management and strategy. Marketing, permits, waste management, you face a different challenge every month. But in every decision I made, I was really motivated not only by profit, but also by the feeling of growing my business and being successful. If you like this kind of games, you should definitely try it.1 found this helpful
Ya I've tried several times to figure out how to make this stupid game turn a profit. I've got the cheapest ♥♥♥♥, the most expensive, the worst and best people. I've thrown ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything at the fan and the best I ever got was -2k. I actually work in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bakery and thats way easier than what ever this ♥♥♥♥ is. Nice attempt though i guess.1 found this helpful
I don't recommend this game because the overall game play isn't enjoyable. There isn't an simple or comprehensive tutorial for a newcomer to learn how to play except many pages of long texts which require a lot of time to read and understand. I spent a lot of time on just learning how to start my business. After the business is started, you can hardly adjust or have the options to change or adjust any element because there are contracts signed. Players have to go through frustrating trial and errors just to learn LITTLE about how to play Startup Quest Bakery.
Startup Quest Bakery is a bit of a challenge. Even the easy mode is not so easy. What is great about bakery is the realism and insight of what it takes to run or even start a bakery/business.
The game is incredibly difficult, this shows how realistic setting up an actual bakery would be, although its not exactly the same as real life (Because of luck that is found in real life). It does show the budget aspect of opening a bakery. You learn the tips and tricks on what to get that at the same time helps but doesn't cost you everything after getting for so cheap. It's a good simulator but I had a lot of trouble trying to get my business to survive for 3 years in the end I managed to get it for more than 3 years both in easy and hard mode.
It's a pretty basic business game. Very limited info on how to play but what is the bigger issue is that the reports are really limited. There is also very little in the way of in game adjustments after you start the business. Maybe if the services that are signed up for (power, equipment, etc) had some kinda time length contract so you can switch between them during the game, it'd be better. Anyway, I completed it on easy and normal modes but it took a lot of tries. The game kinda hints at how to make your business better but it's very vague. There's also no sound.
