Game looked fun but the more i played the game the more bored i got from the experience. After the swearing and shock humor wears off. Ignoring the really bad voice acting. I just couldn't be bothered to keep playing this game.3 found this helpful
STONE is a narrative-driven detective adventure developed and published by Convict Games, offering an experience that prioritizes storytelling, atmosphere, and character development over traditional investigative mechanics. Set in a stylized version of Australia inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, the game follows private investigator Stone, a koala whose carefree lifestyle is disrupted when his partner, Alex, suddenly disappears. What begins as a search for a missing loved one gradually evolves into a deeply personal journey that explores regret, addiction, loss, and the struggle to confront one's own past. Instead of relying on action or high-stakes combat, the game builds its appeal through immersive world-building and an emotionally grounded narrative. The strongest aspect of STONE is its unique identity. Stone himself is far from the typical video game hero. He is flawed, often making questionable choices while attempting to piece together both the mystery surrounding Ale…1 found this helpful
I don't have any problem with walking sims or gameplay-light narrative games in general - to the contrary, I'm a big fan of many such games, as anyone who looks at my review history can tell. But Australian "hip-hop stoner noir" Stone is so insubstantial that I don't really understand why the devs bothered to make it with animated 3D graphics at all instead of as a short, voice-acted visual novel; the 3D environments all consist of one or two sparsely detailed rooms, in which there's almost always next to nothing to do except to have a conversation with a single NPC. As for the story, it doesn't turn out to be much of a noir after all, nor is there much of anything I'd recognize as stoner culture despite the title; there's also a fair bit of jank, with dialogue options and lines frequently overlapping with each other. The Australian flavor, animal characters, and gay protagonist (the last of which is refreshingly underplayed) make Stone odd enough that I don't really regret my time with it, but I can't exactly recommend it, either.
When is part two coming out?
Furry bloke fever dream
https://youtu.be/RR1yMziF6q4 Stumble through loosely connected narrative scenes that lack enough animation detail to sell the scenes while the voice acting and writing struggles to keep up.
