Usually not interested in platformers but this stood out to me. It's got a cool and consistent art style, varied environments and many areas in the game have swanky background music that elevates the overall vibe. The movement might take some getting used to but it's clean for an rpgmaker game. You're not always navigating on foot. There's stuff like boats and go-karts and you can play as different characters. There's collectibles around the map that you can use to unlock some fun little bonus levels in case you get bored of the main quest. Good stuff overall and impressive considering the engine it's using.3 found this helpful
A unique platformer which was somehow made with RPGMaker. With that in mind there is a bit of jank but it was never so awful that I didn't want to continue playing. The gameplay was fun and the world felt unique. Recommend trying this one.2 found this helpful
A developer who attempts to make a fun platformer in RPGMaker may be considered insane. A developer who actually pulls it off must be considered a genius. Stoney's Adventure is a charming puzzle platformer adventure that deserves a place in the RPGMaker hall of fame. As the game unfolds from a simple and humble beginning, new mechanics and power-ups are introduced regularly that keep the gameplay feeling fresh and engaging from beginning to end. The developer clearly put a great deal of care into this game and this is made clear by an abundance of details, secrets and unlockables. For the price of entry, Stoney's Adventure is impossible not to recommend. Play it, tell your friends about it and get this game the recognition it deserves.
