Might become more positive after more playtime... • Basically all dialogue, item descriptions and menus being in "baby talk" to the tune of "enemies make you big hurty-wurty" is pretty atrocious, especially when you just quickly read some item descriptions in your inventory. • Right off the bat, the standard controls are kinda weird. • The visual design isn't exactly easy on the eyes. Not a fan of this developer's color scheme in basically all of their games; makes it difficult to differentiate between fore- and background.

I put in a lot of time with this game on my PS4, so you can ignore my playtime here... with that being said, this is one of the most unique shmup experiences I've had the pleasure of experiencing. The music is spectacular, the pixel art graphics are bright and colorful, the writing is whimsical and weird, and most importantly, the game is a ton of fun. The controls are intuitive and the enemies can be overcome with some knowledge of their attack patterns. There are many different styles to choose from, so if you have only a little amount of time, you can play a smaller game. There are TONS of unlockable hats, but there are plenty of characters, game modes, and modifiers to unlock as well. There was a lot of care and effort put into this game and it really shows. Couldn't recommend it any more!

An extremely competent rogue-lite experience that leans towards the lighter side of bullet-hells. It blends it's trippy visuals and albeit sometimes confusing narrative with tight controls, a solid core-loop, and satisfying difficulty. Numerous game modes and mutators will extend the running time for anyone who finds this particular genre their jam. Recommend a controller or steam deck for this one!

Straimium Immortaly is a remarkably unconventional indie action game developed and published by Caiysware. Created by solo developer Anthony Case, the game combines elements of roguelikes, arcade shooters, dungeon crawlers, and exploration-focused adventures into a single experience that feels unlike almost anything else on the market. From the moment players enter its strange universe, it becomes clear that the game is determined to follow its own path rather than imitate popular genre trends. The result is a deeply creative title that rewards curiosity, experimentation, and persistence. The game takes place within the sprawling and mysterious world of Cubicus, a procedurally generated realm packed with enemies, hidden passages, shops, treasures, and powerful bosses. Instead of dividing progression into straightforward levels, the game presents a large interconnected environment that encourages exploration. Players are free to travel through various regions, discovering secrets and unlocking opportunities at their own pace. This open-ended structure creates a strong sense of adventure, making every playthrough feel unique while maintaining a satisfying sense of discovery. Combat…

A game so hard that only 50% of players manage to beat the tutorial. Also a fun cross between Metroid & Binding of Isaac.

If you can't tell by my playtime, I really like this game.
