About Strangers on Paper

Strangers On Paper is a story-driven visual novel where your choices will dictate how you navigate reconnecting with people from your past and helping each other towards a better present and future.
Tony has the perfect cure for your writer's block: Go work at his bar, meet some strangers, write about them. Turns out the people you find the most interesting there are not strangers at all, and the front they put up may be hiding a lot more than you initially thought. On the one hand there's Becca, your best friend's sister and your past debatably unhealthy crush, who is back in town and as detached as always, yet trying to reach out for some reason. On the other hand, Amy, that popular girl from high school, has chosen to spend her Saturday at a bar that is far away from her seemingly perfect life, on a race to drink her night away.

In every crisis there’s an opportunity, it's up to you to make the best of it.

I’m really enjoying the story and the branching paths, but it felt extremely short—much shorter than I expected. I also noticed there haven’t been any updates from the developers in over a year. It’s frustrating when you find a great visual novel that just seems to stall out like this. I understand that life happens and development can be complicated, but even a small update or communication would go a long way in letting players know what’s going on. As it stands, it’s hard not to wonder if this ended up being more of a cash grab, which is a shame because it really seemed like they had something special here.

I’m genuinely happy that I found this game it truly made my day better. I love how the story chooses to unfold at a slow, deliberate pace. It allows you to sink deeply into the characters and really connect with them. What stands out the most is the game’s courage to focus on storytelling rather than relying on sexual fan service, which is something that oversaturates this genre. That decision alone makes this experience feel refreshing and sincere. Having only two main characters (for now) works strongly in the game’s favor. It allows the narrative to stay focused and gives their relationship real depth and nuance. The dialogue is beautifully written — it sounds like something real people would actually say, not just lines designed to push the plot forward. Because of that, everything feels more grounded and emotionally authentic. Your choices genuinely matter. They actively shape your relationship with the characters, and every decision carries weight. There are moments when your heart races, and others when you almost forget to breathe. Overall, this is a game made for players who truly love story-driven experiences. The narrative is carefully crafted, thoughtful, and elegant. T…

I can't believe I paid for this. One of the most boring games I've ever played. Endless pointless conversations that go absolutely nowhere. I feel like an idiot for using Steam's review system for influencing my decision to buy a game. Lesson learned.

Really good artwork. And I had to replay it just to see where the other path led. So the stories were good enough to keep me wanting to see what's what. But this was way too damn short! For either story, or both stories together. Just way too short. The 1 intimate scene was not over the top. Just right. Thanks for that too. IDK if I want to get the next season though. If it's going to be as short as this, then no way. Even if there's a couple routes to take. But I do want to see where the stories go. SO I'm conflicted, to say the least.
