About Swap Fire

Swap Fire was originally a Nintendo Wii U Exclusive. With the closure of the Wii U eShop, we've decided to preserve Swap Fire via Steam. We are especially excited about Steam Remote Play Together, which allows Swap Fire's local multiplayer experience to go online for the first time. Please check out our video tutorial for Steam Remote Play Together and be sure to share it with your friends. They don't need a copy of the game to play with you!

Swap Fire is a high-intensity game show based on RQI's latest teleportation technology. Shooting other players swaps your locations. Using this simple principle, players must out-wit and out-maneuver each other in 9 different game types (King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Swoccer, Control Point, Find Buddy, Rally Point, Dropzone, Jettison, and Race). It's the ultimate risk-reward proposition!

Before players compete, they can tackle RQI's training, led by its revolutionary AI (which thinks that it's Dr. Nathan Rosen, co-creator of the EPR Paradox). During training, contestants will learn all the ins and outs of Swap Fire and if they're paying attention, they might stumble upon a few secrets!
THE LIMITS:
- Swap Fire runs in full screen 720p at 60Hz with vsync disabled.
- Swap Fire does not have typical PC game options.
- Our intent with this port from Wii U to PC is to preserve the game and hope that more people can enjoy it in multiplayer via Steam Remote Play Together.
- We have added Keyboard and Mouse controls but the game was designed for a controller (a Wii remote no less) and in Steam Remote Play Together, only one player can use a mouse and keyboard, so it is advisable for all players to use controllers when competing.- The SteamDeck is a lot like the Wii U Gamepad, only BETTER! Swap Fire has never looked or played better than on this amazing device!
- Steam Input is enabled by default. However, you can disable it if any issues arise (such as inability to play local multiplayer). Thank you for playing! - Jeremy Alessi Director

PS - Be ever mindful of your spacetime!
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is an old dead Wii-U game, a simple, poorly made PvP arena shooter with one gimmick: when you shoot someone you swap positions with them. This gimmick is confusing and adds nothing to a generic and visually poor game. So, "Swap Fire" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion "go viral." This game failed for many of the same reasons others do. The chief reason is the developer thinking their game would "go viral" without creating a reason for it to do so. Competition among PvP games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base. This game failed to reach a critical mass and died. Let's look at why this game failed to appeal to gamers, especially at a $10 price point. First, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be a substitute for storytelling and level design. They lost that bet. Without a community or single player …

Rate: 6.66/10 Liked the training and first set of multiplayer modes. King of the Hill Capture the Flag Swoccer It is fun but games are too short, rounds are ending before you understand what's happening. And sad there is no player base on Steam yet, and seems like it will not happen anytime soon...

Porting a Wii U game is rough, but doing it with shovelware is rougher. Though a weird concept, I feel like implemented correctly, you could have something really good, too bad that's not the case here. The worst UI design I've seen in a while, stuck in perpetual 4player split screen makes this even worse. Forget the fact there is no one online to play it with, there is a single player mode, but you will finish it in less than 30 minutes. Literal definition of Shovelware

Nice refreshing game mechanics, reminds me a bit of Portal. I hope we will see some fresh SIngle Player Campaigns in the future.
