Tattoo Dungeon

The Castlevania games I remember had you fighting the Grim Reaper, not going to a strip club with him to tip some cougars, and why is my dash power-up turning me into a sugar mommy, what NES games did you play? This is a GameBoy engine I assume, I think I played Batty Zabella in it, which just happens to have a similar boob focused motif, is that like a thing with GB devs, you all fantasize about erotic Gameboy universe? Okay, I guess I technically bought those games too. I liked the game, I thought it was very charming, from a certain point of view. It's not like an arcade game, more like exploration & metroidvania experience, obviously very goofy, feels like it has a certain audience in mind, very much a NES nostalgia dispenser, but trolling Castlevania specifically. The game itself is not difficult, but the exploration can be challenging, the way you make progress can be somewhat confusing, and it's not always clear what you have to do. I thought the game was pretty creative, I played my share of silly retro inspired games, this one had a lot of personality to it, and I thought the writing was very playful. I've been following this game's development for a while and playing the demos along the way, so it's incredibly satisfying to finally see the full release. It absolutely lives up to the excitement. As a tattoo artist, one of my favorite parts is all the references to iconic American traditional tattoo designs. It's clear that a lot of thought and appreciation went into the art direction, and spotting those influences throughout the game made the experience even more enjoyable for me. Beyond the visuals, the gameplay is engaging, polished, and just plain fun. There's a surprising amount of content to keep you coming back, and the soundtrack fits the game's atmosphere perfectly, making every session even more enjoyable. You can really tell the developer put a lot of care and passion into this project. Whether you're a fan of the genre or just looking for something fresh to play, this is an easy recommendation. 10/10—I highly recommend checking it out!

It's Fun!

Im only 2 hours in but this has been a great game so far! Awesome references to traditional tattooing with tight controls similar to old Castlevania games. Iv been playing in window mode, the only thing Iv noticed is when the game is in full screen, the bottom bit of the screen is cut off a bit, might be an issue on my end though and is easily worked around by playing in windowed mode.

I've been in a game rut for awhile but Tattoo Dungeon is the first game in a long time that really hooked me. i couldnt put it down the last couple of days until i beat it. i 101% the game so i definitely got my moneys worth i recommend this game. The movement i thought was very intuitive once you got used to it and it makes getting through the levels very fun. the humor was right up my alley. Grateful Fred! cmon! that was golden and the bosses were challenging but no in a too hard way. The True boss gave me a bit of trouble but i beat it! overall i give it a solid 8/10 and excited to see what other games come in the future
