About Teku
Teku is an island-building game using hexagonal tiles.
You have a deck of tiles to place on specific, randomly-generated locations.
Your goal is to score as many points as possible by positioning the tiles correctly in relation to each other.
Each type of tile scores points in different ways.
During the game, you'll be taken through levels, each with its own rules, scoring objectives and tiles to assemble. Each game is short, lasting just a few minutes, ideal for short play sessions or the hunt for the top score.
When you start, two game modes are immediately available:

At time of writing, you would have to use an achievement manager to unlock the first world's completion achievement if you want to accredit yourself 100% completion in light of this broken achievement.... Otherwise a solid puzzle city-builder where you add tiles to build synergies between biomes.... with quite heavy-handed RNG that adds to the challenge, like you feel a computer worked out the odds instead of trial-and-error playtesting. But beating the computer in this case slightly lends to the satisfaction.1 found this helpful
It doesn't like to run. Every other program besides Steam itself can be closed, and it still crashes upon loading. I don't see why a game so small and simple will crash constantly on opening. Haven't gotten very far in it, because it crashes so often and only even loaded successfully once.
fun game! if you like Dorfromantik, you will like this. You do have to trick it into starting up - it'll take a few tries to actually run instead of just staying trapped in the background. Also, if you have your system defaults set to anything larger than 100%, some buttons will be forced off screen.
Recommended. This is a great example of a well made game with one major flaw. First off, the look and feel is very chill, there are a bunch of levels, the mechanics and scoring lead to many different strategies, and it's free. The biggest issue I have is the difficulty and how it locks out the rest of game if you don't maximize your turns. The takes away from those chill vibes due to frustration once you've completed several levels and get locked out of continuing. Overall, really good game that would be even better if the score requirements were tweaked a bit.
