About Tender Loving Care
Starring the acclaimed British actor, and 2-time Oscar nominee, John Hurt (Contact, Love and Death on Long Island, Elephant Man) TLC is a feature-length film seamlessly combined with computer-game like navigation and interactivity.
The player is voyeur, detective, judge, and patient all in one. Between each variable scene, Dr. Turner enlists the viewer's help in assessing the behaviour of each of the films characters - Turner's beautiful, deluded patient, her dangerous husband, and the mysterious, seductive psychiatric nurse enlisted to provide what may, or may not be, TENDER LOVING CARE.
The viewer's answers to Dr. Turner questions the shape the course of the action and the final outcome of the story. The viewer, too, becomes one of Dr. Turner's patients, taking a series of Thematic Apperception Tests (TATs), the results of which create a progressively accumulating personal psychological profile, and a complete psychological analysis by the end of the movie.

Players appreciate TLC as a unique 90s FMV experience with engaging interactive story choices and surprisingly thought-provoking narrative elements about psychology, though they note the gameplay is minimal and sexual content is frequent. The main criticisms center on technical issues like game-breaking freezes and unresponsive controls that can waste hours of progress, along with some frustration that player choices don't always meaningfully affect the story outcome. Despite these flaws, most find the quirky, campy nature of the experience entertaining for its historical value as an early int

such a weird game even for the 90s4 found this helpful
Not a long game but an interesting story. The DVD upgrade makes the visuals far better and is worth installing. Acting is really good, script it pretty good as well. You can see how professionally this was made, which also explains how it lost money! Ah, the short-lived days of FMV games! Well worth the money, even if only for the nostalgia!1 found this helpful
They show you the nicest pair of badonkers you'll ever see in your life and then the most british man of all time shows up and he's like "mhmm nice honkers, are you into beastiality?" and you're like "excuse me?" Highly Recommended1 found this helpful
Tender Loving Care is a mid-90s interactive film featuring late screen legend John Hurt. The story is predicated on player choice and assessment. When paused, the player can see their own psych evaluation ostensibly provided by Hurt's character, which is completed by the end. I've experienced this program once, but I have read that multiple endings are available dependent upon player choice throughout. As much as I'd LOVE look for the different endings by answering differently x number of times - or simply look in the openly available .webm video files in the game files - it's still a film, and I don't typically engage with the same films so frequently. Maybe in a year or so. I am unsure about whether different choices result in different-enough plots, but the one I got was like Fatal Attraction, Malicious, or The Crush. Overall, I'd recommend this program as an engaging piece of experimental(?) media if you have a few hours to kill - took me 3 1/2. Also to jump on the immaturity bandwagon: 30 something year old 30-something-year-old titties. Woo.
honestly, just go for it.
