The Adventure of Pixi: The 3 Stones is an adventure game made solely by Czar, with an electrifying retro-inspired soundtrack made by Pouale! Originally a game made in their teen years in 2011, it is now a fully remade game made with care after more than a decade of experience! With a completely new story and new soundtrack!
An adventure of epic proportions, spanning 1 fully opened map, 2 worlds, and (more than) 3 colors!
Living in peace in a world of black, white and all the shades in between, the Pixel race never was interested in learning their origins, except a single one that everyone would call Old Man.
Obsessed with history ever since he was a child, he spent his whole life searching for those things called colors.
Until one day, he found a magical artefact containing the information he sought all his life: How to restore colors to the world.
Suffering of old age and joint pain, he decided to give this quest of a lifetime to his fashion-obsessed, wig-wearer, younger assistant: Pixi.
As you control Pixi, you get to fully explore the whole black and white world of Pixeleuh, full of humoristic characters and actions, containing an handful of hidden items, and also a few dungeons, where the titular stones are hiding!
You can also change your hairstyle when you feel like it by going into Pixi's wardrobe; other than being cosmetics it changes some NPCs dialogs! Maybe even an obtainable wig is necessary to progress in a dungeon?
... But once the colors are restored, will that really be the end of her adventure? Is the now colorful world, the same world where she used to live? Or is there more to it here than she initially thought?
Maybe once she gets the three stones, she will finally understand more about herself. Her past, future, and her connection with the old man. Maybe it ran deeper than she first thought?

The Adventure of Pixi is a sweet, heartfelt tale about a young pixel girl seeking the answer to a mystery. It's a relatively short runtime - I achieved the true ending in about 4 hours - but I honestly love shorter, satisfying experiences like this. My game backlog is so long as it is! The storyline was engaging and kept me coming back over a few evenings to see it through, and the music was excellent throughout. The gimmick of changing wigs out is a cute touch (and actually story-relevant!) There's also a cat-seeking mini-game which resulted in my favorite reward of the whole game. The puzzle elements aren't overly complicated, but were enough to make me stop and think them through. I only got stuck once, and honestly, that was more just me overthinking a situation. I didn't run into any bugs or glitches during gameplay, only a minor issue at the start where the language reverts from English to French. It's easy to see how to fix it on the menu, so it never caused me any problems. It was genuinely touching to see the world come alive in color as I went through this charming tale! It's plain a lot of love and effort went into it, and I'd recommend giving it a try.2 found this helpful
