What Steam players say

Players appreciate the game's meaningful approach to real-world issues and its unique multi-perspective mechanics involving camera control and decision-making during a protest scenario, with some praising the narrative pacing and artistic presentation. However, common criticisms include insufficient context and backstory explaining the situation, a sense that the experience feels incomplete or underdeveloped, and frustration with the lack of clarity around why the conflict occurs, leaving some players feeling the game needs more depth and explanation to fully engage with its premise.
The Change Architect
We take on the role of a protest organiser, I feel like on this short interactive game we don’t get much details at the start of why we are in this situation. It’s not my favourite one of Far Few Giants game series but I still want to support them with rating the game positively. I feel like not many dev actually care enough to speak about real life struggles and take the time to create meaningful games for free.2 found this helpful
Quick Impression: Architects of Lives
It's simple: I enjoyed the experience and understand the dilemma at play. We take on the role of a protest organizer whose goal is to coordinate members outside, watching them both on a screen via cameras and, as implied, through the window of the room. When the police arrive, the critical decision to dictate is: hold the line / pull back. I’m not sure there’s a right or wrong choice here. The 3 Cs (camera-control-character) dynamic is particularly interesting, especially when combined with decision-making and one of the game’s core mechanics: following a conversation on a screen and responding. It almost feels like an invitation to reflect from multiple perspectives and viewpoints. Interesting. The narrative pacing is compelling, with that suspended moment in time (the window shattering), which highlights the subject matter and creates a sense of surprise and/or intensity. I’m less convinced by the art direction, the character concept art, their animations, the color palette, as well as the music and sound design. This might not be my favorite in the series, but the approach and topic remain intriguing, despite an overall impressio…1 found this helpful
Don’t really understand how or why an apocalyptic civil war started in the UK for no reason. That’s gonna be a no from me.
needs more to it
An interesting little short with enjoyable art and intense music. Shame it's a dead project
