The Ditty of Carmeana

The Ditty of Carmeana is a comedic third-person fantasy adventure that deliberately chooses absurdity over grandeur. Developed and published by Tampered Evidence LLC, the game takes the familiar idea of a young hero embarking on a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess and turns it into a playful parody of traditional fantasy adventures. Rather than pretending to be an enormous heroic epic, it embraces its independent production values and uses them alongside deliberately ridiculous writing, strange characters, puzzles, exploration, and unconventional encounters. Its personality is therefore considerably more important than technical spectacle, making it an experience primarily aimed at players who appreciate comedy and unusual indie games. The adventure takes place in the kingdom of Bowtudgel, where Princess Carmeana has been kidnapped. Fun game to a point. Gozamata figth with that obnoxious ♥♥♥♥ cora made me dislike the game enough to quit it. Sure lets make a game with clunky controls where main appeal is humor and make a boss that needs to be damaged in specific body part with a crossbow that has a shorter lock on than my irl piss range. Oh yea if you ever get hit by the boss it does no damage (at least with my armor) but the ♥♥♥♥ will spam dialogue boxes at you forever. I tried to shoot the tail (but like i said i piss further and there is no better corssbows to buy from what i seen) 200 bolts later i hit it like twice or some ♥♥♥♥. Sword? Yea but you get insta killed if you hit the eye and boss ofter 180 in less than a second. So yea really bad fight with super fast boss that phases through walls and can just change its trajectory as it wants with obnoxious ♥♥♥♥ yelling (or rather spamming dialogue boxes that make you not see what the ♥♥♥♥ are you even doing as they are in the middle of the screen and you cannot tell her to shut the ♥♥♥♥ up). game feels like 2009 in the best way possible <3 dialogue heavy, but love everything about it

The Ditty of Carmeana provides both a unique and intriguing experience for fans of classic action-adventure games. The worldbuilding and character interactions surpasses that of other parody games, strengthening the overall narrative, and creating replay value. The game respects both the player's intelligence and time, giving you the resources needed to solve problems without explicitly telling you what to do. An example that comes to mind is obtaining the electrolyte sports drink. You can either buy it from the court mage, or you can make it yourself for half the cost provided you found the recipe. The game goes so far as to comment on this through NPC dialogue which is just fantastic.
