The Escape to the Afterlife

graphically, very interesting, and some bits of sound design are really wonderful. the use of japanese culture, yokai, and sound makes for a more unique setting than other games i've played. gameplay is simple, but it can be very challenging, even, and things can be easily missed, meaning you need to start a chapter over. any enemy mechanics are very rudimentary, consisting of only charging at you. the story is next to nonexistent and falls deeply into tropes. i do hope this developer continues to work in the future, because there are solid pieces of a game here. however, in this form, i'm unsure if i can recommend it.
