The First Odyssey

After completing the game, I can firmly say that I want a refund. I didn't spend anything to get this garbage game. But I think the developers should pay up after what I experience. This game was so awful words cannot not describe how frustrating playing was. I feel that the worst part was the prisoners' names in the story. Which is the same nickname given to the prisoners of the Japanese Unit during WW2 [i](I won't say the name as I don't want my review taken down)[/i]. But not only forcing the player to undergo an IQ test designed for the prisoners is just super disrespectful. As the credits were rolling [i](after an ending that was spoiled by one of the game's trailers)[/i] I said "I hope the Studio behind this game goes bankrupt." Thankfully they already have, even though I wish they never made this game in the first place. Now I'll never get those 2 hours back...

It promises an epic adventure, but in reality, it looks like an unpolished prototype: the levels are monotonous, the objectives are boring, and the story doesn't really captivate.

too much bugs and lagging

couldnt get through first mmission tutorial, it was too dark to see in vents, I looked around room for flash light turned up brightness,

"The First Odyssey" is a weird train wreck of an apparently abandoned game (don't let the visuals fool you either, I suspect a lot of the game is made from flipped stock assets). It's a bug riddled disaster with no saves and a lot of bugs, incoherent design, and terrible gameplay and writing. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $10 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public rece…
