About The Holy Gosh Darn

In just six hours, Heaven will be obliterated—unless you can save it!
From the team behind Manual Samuel and Helheim Hassle, in The Holy Gosh Darn, you play as the angel Cassiel on a mission to stop the destruction of the afterlife. To do that, you'll harness the power of time travel by using a mysterious magical clock given to you by Death. Jump freely between past and present as you uncover secrets across Heaven, Hell, Earth, and Helheim. Insights from the future could accelerate events in the past, so make every second count!

The Holy Gosh Darn is a riotous narrative adventure built around time-travel as a core mechanic. Wield your trusty time-traveling watch and hop any point during the day, uncovering the secrets of a mysterious artifact created by God himself. Along the way, you'll meet a hilarious cast of characters and explore ever-shifting locations as you try to prevent an army of Phantoms from overrunning heaven. Which is really annoying, because you live there.

This hilarious action-adventure blends time travel with Metroidvania progression, inventive puzzles and over-the-top set pieces. The Holy Gosh Darn will answer life's most burning questions - like why time travel makes you barf, why why swearing is reserved for angels, and why it's completely fine to rudely skip dialogue when you're racing against the clock to save Heaven. The trilogy of The Holy Gosh Darn, Manual Samuel and Helheim Hassle might all be in the same universe, but they can be played in any order you like! Prepare for outrageous humor, brain-tickling puzzles, and a chaotic adventure that'll keep you grinning from start to finish!

Features:

 • Over 6.5 hours of fully voiced dialogue - One dedicated “Shut up” button that can skip it all!
 • Time travel game for everyone, even if you hate time travel games
 • Sprint, dash and jump through the afterlife as you uncover secrets across both space AND time!
 • Unique time-pressured narrative requires players to hurry along NPCs as they uncover new information.
 • Uncover fresh narrative strands which are triggered by progression, time, space and logic.
 • 23 Heavenly Elders to insult! Gotta diss them all!
 • Exactly 4,250 dogs - none that you can pet.

This game is good. Real good. The visuals are well-done, the writing is on point and made me laugh out loud several times, and the gameplay leads to interesting puzzles and mechanics. However, there is one segment that is keeping me from recommending the game. Later on in the game, you have to tail someone through several alleyways without them spotting you. During this, you have to avoid different hazards or use your time travel to disable them before you enter. Not a bad concept. However, I have repeatedly encountered an extremely annoying glitch. Whenever I try to rewind time after I start following the person, the person just disappears 9/10 times, even at times where the person is visible in the preview image. Additionally, the watch occasionally deletes random 15 minute intervals, including ones that do still have the target that work successfully. Because of this combination of glitches, I've been hard-stuck on this segment. I could try to do it perfectly, but it's such a hassle that it's making me want to drop the game, which sucks because I really do want to see the end. Until this glitch is patched or I find a work-around to it, I can't recommend the game, lest others …

Real neat time-travel based puzzles, a lot of characters with a lot of character, a ton of dumb jokes and a few smart ones all of them landing makes this one of my favourite adventure games.

If you're in the mood for stupid theology and mythology jokes written by smart people (kinda like how Futarama is), then look no further
This game is so much fun :3
I sat on gods throne, puked in multiple spots, pissed off my frens (sorry) and forgot what was in my inventory due to too much time travelling. Would count (and pet those) dawgs until the world explodes again!

The Holy Gosh Darn was fairly fun, but definitely could've been better. It's advertised as a puzzle game, but none of the puzzles were all that difficult. Most of the time the game would either tell you what to do or heavily hint at it, so there weren't really any times where you're actually puzzle-solving. Honestly, I didn't really mind though as the game was plenty enjoyable without it. First, it was generally fun using the time travel mechanic to rewind time. It made progression in the game more novel and enjoyable than a more linear experience. It was also fun seeing the dialogue change each loop. Secondly, the game is rather funny. While all the games in the Tuesday Trilogy have their weaknesses, they're at the very least all consistently funny, with enjoyable characters and lots of funny dialogue/moments. This factor alone makes the games worth playing. Of course, if this game also had good puzzles, that could've easily made it a must-play, but as it stands, it's still incredibly solid. 7.5/10. My only gripe with this game is that while there are plenty of achievements, they aren't really integrated into the main progression at all. Apart from a few elders you naturally see …
