Played the game only for the artist - Abigail Larson. She is amazing and her art is gorgeous. Regarding the game - it could be fine, but you can play only the first chapter now. There is no way to buy 5 more chapters - they are absent on Steam for me and for others that I've seen.1 found this helpful

I had more fun with it than I anticipated, chilling while reading the story, but it is hard to recommend it to others because the game is so simple and surface level that it feels empty and incomplete with some aspects of it being there just for the sake of being there without any thought on how to better impliment them. The Good: Nice art in unusual art style that doesn't feel mainstream and convoluted. Chill game for casual relaxation. The music doesn't distract from whatever is taking place in the screen. Cheesy simple dialogues with witty undertones. Free chapter so you can get a feel for it before you buy it. Simple fantasy story with some unknown factors you have to uncover. The Bad: Slow combat that never actually improves even as the game gives you more (limited) options for customization. This is more reading exposition set in stone than playing the game (fighting or picking options). Very short duration, I beat it in 1 hour and when you are done, you are done, you can't replay chapters/missions unless you start a new game. The skill tree is mostly decorative and restricted since the only logical choice is to only invest in the +damage option to get through the slow comb…
Decently good game. Good story. Very linear. Simple turn-based, card battle, RPG game. You can finish the game within the day. No replay-ability. Like others say, the first book is free. The rest is paid. Not worth at it's retail though. Wait for some 50% sale or smth. 3.75/5 rating
