Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen Collector's Edition

I'm going to stop ragging on the price tag given that I'm doing 8 of these reviews in succession, but imagine (if anyone actually reads all of them) that I mentioned it every single time. The game itself is fantastic. Solidly the 2nd best game in the series, beat only just barely by the 2nd game. The story is great, the visuals are fantastic, and everything moves so smoothly together. Sort of a lost art in the later games, but this one leads you very well between areas without having to consult hints! The pieces all felt like they fit very well together, and I wish the later games had taken more inspiration from this one and the second.

A great addition to the series. A few changes and an overall polish to the series. The story is nice and the cinematics are more imiproved and the amount of them is greater. Overall a really nice game. But the price. Its still way too much. So better buy it on a large discount. I can still really highly recommend it.

This is the game from my childhood, i love it a lot. The story is [spoiler] tragic and sad[/spoiler] so this makes the game even more interesting, i like this take on Snow Queen's and [spoiler]SnowWhite's[/spoiler] fairytales. I do wish the puzzles were different instead of being the same most of the time like in the second game, but the game is still enjoyable to play.

For collectors and completists only. Older HOG, with clunky game mechanics.

Snow Queen gave me the cold shoulder

This is the first Dark Parables game I played and the one that got me hooked. The graphics, storyline, voice acting, and characters are all top notch. I highly recommend if you are into hidden object games.
