The Labyrinth on Burrow Hill

I have to say this was a very challenging puzzle game, but if you can push through that, underneath it has a very wholesome narrative with a very fun level design. I think I came across one of your videos where you were modeling the stairs, unlike many similar games, you put a lot of personality and character into the locations, so you have that feeling of excitement when you enter every individual room. I also like how the entire house is one big puzzle, reminds of the horror movie tropes where the house is like a big mechanical trap. Even though the puzzles were very creative, I think the hints had the potential for double meaning, so that is something you should watch out for, you don't want the players to find a more logical answer, or to find something in the environment that can mislead them. Also, sometimes I felt like the hints didn't give me enough information to solve the puzzle, I never played sudoku in my life, so you have to be a little more specific with how you want me to read the positioning in the room. As someone who's favorite games are typically within carefully crafted worlds, with rich lore and plenty of puzzles and environmental storytelling - The Labyrinth on Burrow Hill quenched a yearning thirst I had for these themes after having played and completed games such as Outer Wilds or Blue Prince. First off, the art style is beautiful and reminiscent of Blue Prince and already a win for me. There's plenty of little crumbs of story and hints to be hunted down and found throughout the entire map, which was fun to search around for and find. Every puzzle is so different from the next, so mechanics don't become tired or boring. Each puzzle requires a different way of thinking so some will be easier or much more difficult depending on what brand of autism you have. This was also such a fun game to stream because chat actually began to interact and notice things that I had missed! It's a really good game to work in tandem with your community if you so choose! Some puzzles really had me stumped but once I finally got there, the satisfaction of solving them was well worth all the time and effort. This game is a delight. I love the puzzles, atmosphere and soundtrack! Highly recommended if you like escape rooms and enjoy games like Blue Prince.

fun little blue prince reminiscent puzzle game

Very cool short game that fills the Blue-Prince-shaped hole in my heart. The rooms are all very mysterious and unique. Beautiful artstyle overall. The riddles can be quite challenging but are possible without any help. I needed some hints for the mirror room and the final riddle though. Would definitely recommend!

I went into this game expecting it to be charming, but quick and more focused on atmosphere than the actual puzzles. I was pleasantly surprised! Pretty much everything about this game is amazing. Yes, the visual design is unique and stunning, but the puzzles are the perfect balance between challenging and doable. Because I played this right after it came out, there was only half a guide to assist, and if I can solve the puzzles, you can too! I really appreciated how unique every puzzle was, and how there were two puzzles throughout that you complete at the very end. The story is really good, but I do wish Dan got a better ending. I became attached to him through his notes. Everything was 10/10, but my favorite part was the soundtrack. The music is hauntingly beautiful. I look forward to seeing what else this developer creates in the future.
