The Legend of Zuri

The Legend of Zuri, developed by LarsMidnatt and published by Witching Hour Entertainment LLC, is a fantasy visual novel that places player choice at the center of its experience. Game would be better if there was voice acting or animations. The art is very good, and the story is fairly amusing.

This was kind of interesting and weirdly unique in some ways, even though there are no animations, only still images. My biggest complain would be the missed opportunity for some scenes with Siofra. Recommended on sale

I will have to recommend this game. It wasn't really to my tastes, but it was still pretty solid. Pros: -The images range from average to pretty good. -The gallery is nice if you want to find a specific picture again quickly. -The story is moderately interesting. Cons: -The dialogue is moderate at best & in many places dips into actively awful -The image gallery only works with specific save games, so to get a complete set you will need several different save games & switch between them to see all the pictures. -The controls are non-intuitive & delays in the UI can cause you to accidentally rush through story choices. -Lack of choice. There is only one possible path through the game. At best you get the option (sometimes) of skipping a particular scene, or dying in the simple combat scenes. But everything else has zero impact on the story or plot. Suggestions: -Wait til it goes on sale, I wouldn't really recommend it at full price. -Holding the 'W' key speeds through dialogue without risking your choices. It is not, however listed in the command screen in game.

Amazing value for money, Exceeded expectations really, & I hope the story will continue in future episodes.
