The Life of a Magical Circle is a philosophical narrative experience with a zen like atmosphere. It felt very relaxing to play thanks to the wavesynth sound track and the voice of the narrator reminiscing and reflecting on his life at key moments during the game. I wouldn't call this a narrative game however, as the words of wisdom are only spoken occasionally and don't really join up to create a story as such, more of an interesting overview of things that have happened in his life, some advice, and then moments of speculation about the future. Nothing he says is particularly clever or motivating but the relaxing voice fits into the chilled atmosphere and works quite well. The game play is quite basic and involves collecting green circles whilst avoiding enemies and objects in the tightly packed environment. It starts off gentle, but as you progress more enemies and obstacles are added, and surprising events occur like distortions in the game play area, or objects moving faster and more erratically. Collecting power ups gives special abilities like having the power to destroy objects and enemies, or sucking in green circles from afar. One power up even wipes the whole area of ene…

The Life of a Magical Circle is a delightful gem of a game that took me on an enchanting journey of self-discovery and whimsy. From its charming art style to its heartwarming storytelling, this game captured my imagination and left me with a smile on my face long after I had finished playing. One of the standout features of The Life of a Magical Circle is its unique premise. As a magical circle seeking to fulfill its purpose in the world, I found myself drawn into a world of wonder and possibility. The game's whimsical setting and endearing characters made every moment feel like a magical adventure, as I navigated through charming environments and encountered delightful surprises around every corner. But what truly sets The Life of a Magical Circle apart is its heartfelt storytelling. As I guided the protagonist through their journey of self-discovery, I was touched by the game's messages of friendship, perseverance, and the power of believing in oneself. The characters felt like old friends, and their struggles and triumphs resonated with me on a deeply personal level, reminding me of the importance of embracing who we are and pursuing our dreams. In addition to its engaging st…

I played for as long as I was curious but it didn't appear to be narrated or about following my dreams.

A very re-playable game with a beautiful soundtrack and visual style. It packs quite a philosophical punch, questioning your purpose both in-an-out of the game. Perhaps one day I will find my own purpose, but in the meantime deez orbs need to be gobbled up, OM NOM NOM ...I give the game a 9 out of 10, an easy recommend for the price.
