Welcome to The Outer Rim, where fast paced action and space combat meet.
The Outer Rim: Survivor is an early access version giving you a taste of what is to come. Play the Survivor missions where you'll be constantly bombarded with enemies to attack, and be attacked by - How long you can last is the question as these missions never end. The Campaign mode (single player mission based game play) will be added as a DLC once completed.
A range of missions are available for you to try for free and give feedback while I further develop the game.
Take control of 5 different space ships with 9 different weapons flying in a full 3D universe. Missions include: protect your command ships, take out enemy command ships, and protect bomber runs. The missions take place in a mix of locations including space & planets.
Collect power ups by taking out enemies ships, giving you a range of items to help you last longer - extra missiles, new weapons, flares, nukes, multi-shot missiles and more.
Command your Wingmen (on certain missions) to help you last longer - they can attack the targets you specify, defend you when you're in trouble, just tell them what you want them to do. They've got your back!

"The Outer Rim: Survivor" is an abandoned Early Access attempt to make an advertisement for a kickstarter that never eventuated. It's one of those cases where a developer bit off way more than he could chew, thinking he could come up with a rival to Star Citizen or No Man's Sky, and instead came up with something worse than both of those. Although, in fairness, it looks so promising that this really is a shame it was such a failure. What do you do in the game? The game features a mix of space and planet-based missions, including tasks like protecting your command ships, attacking enemy command ships, and protecting bomber runs. You collect power-ups to help you survive longer, such as extra missiles, weapons, and flares. On select missions, you can command "wingmen" to assist you in attacking and defending. But none of this works very well and the game is abandoned, so the bugs and missing features will never get patched, fixed, or more content added. Yes, the developers abandoned this 6 years and 6 months ago. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Abandoned 4 and a half years ago in unplayable state. RIP.
Only directions to fly is forward and to crash to the nearest asteroid if front of starting point. First game: 5 sec > crash. Second game 30 seconds, fire few time fighters in front, launched few missiles to my target and crash to asteroid. Starfe does not move ship sideways/up/down, it does not turn flying directions in any way. For free tryout of this game: Not playable at all. Release date 2018 and still "Early Access" and not functional. Question is: Why? Even my brother's son did better game in age of 15.
