About Empyrion - Galactic Survival
Build massive starships, planetary bases, and space stations piece by piece across a vast galaxy filled with diverse worlds to explore and survive on. This sandbox blends construction freedom with survival mechanics, combat, and multiplayer cooperation—complete with voxel terrain deformation, extensive crafting, and a thriving community workshop for sharing your creations.
Build mighty capital vessels, agile fighters, vast planetary settlements, and space stations with complete freedom; piece by piece, anywhere you want – or download pre-built community blueprints from the Steam Workshop and customize them with your own ideas!
Fully modify and deform the terrain on any planet. Thanks to the voxel-based terrain, you can flatten it for your planetary settlement, dig holes to find resources, or build a tunnel system to protect yourself. Empyrion is a true sandbox game!
A vast galaxy awaits you. Warp and fly between a huge variety of planets, moons, and far-flung star systems. Freely explore the surface of each planet, with its own gravity, atmosphere, terrain, vegetation, climate, resources, and more. Survive its flora and fauna, and discover the secrets of alien races.
Elevate your experience with an ocean of player-made blueprints for vessels and settlements, along with mods that provide completely new scenarios and items.
To survive in space and on alien planets, you must plan with ingenuity and caution. Food, oxygen, resources, and ammo are essential. Hunt, forage, and plant a garden to sustain yourself. While some beings you encounter will be peaceful, others will destroy you given any opportunity. Come prepared with a range of weaponry and defensive measures.
Play as a lone wolf in single player or join the multiplayer community. Team-up with friends, build new friendships, create alliances, and wage war. Build yourself a comfortable home in a well-protected PvE area and face the dangers of PvP planets and conquer the solar system with your faction.
Learn how to combine resources and building materials to craft your equipment. Craft on the move or in your base and equip your buildings and vessels with a range of different weapons and gadgets. As you perform various activities, level up and unlock new tech in the tech tree!
Fuel your crafting and construction projects by digging deep into planets for rich deposits or drilling through asteroids full of rare ore. Scavenge alien buildings and other structures you come across for additional resources.
Forget food, resources, and enemies and just build. Create wonders with absolute freedom and then share them with the creative community by uploading them to the Steam Workshop!DLC & expansions
Game forever in development while devs delete comments that make them unhappy.
I wouldn't have left this review if the devs didn't act like collosal ♥♥♥♥♥ and deleted my simple comment on an update thread posted about v1.18, where someone asked for achievements. I supported these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs since Early Access back in 2017 and they act like they're doing us a favor while making one of the most generic survival games in existence. Anyway, this was my reply to that person asking for achievements:
"Dear lord, I last played this game back in 2017 (according to Steam), but have installed it recently thinking about trying it out again. I didn't even realize this game had no achievements (well, except for one hidden one?). Eh, I'll wait a little more while they finish adding them. Not interested in playing survival games for hours without a good amount of achievements in them, I enjoy collecting them after-all. Achievements are the only thing that keeps you going when you're done leveling up everything else in SP anyway, god knows it isn't the lack of any interesting lore or world development in these games.. unless this game somehow changed that in 9 years I haven't p…35 found this helpful

INSANELY complex game. I get why some reviews compared this to Space Engineers. Another game that I uninstalled for mostly the same reasons. I got stuck multiple times on the tutorial. I got past quit a few stuck moments to find that it was a misunderstanding of the instructions or something silly. After 5.5 hours of struggling through the TUTORIAL and honestly it wasn't a terrible experience I finally lost my patience with the complexity and realized I was no longer having fun struggling through the learning process. I can see how someone who suffered their way through the insane process of learning how to play this game would have such intense sunk cost that they'd be locked in for life but for 99% of players who try this game its going to be a hell no and its just a matter of how long it takes to cross your threshold to uninstall this game. When this game offered a play for free for 3 days I really struggled to even give this game a chance and spent a ton of time in the player reviews trying to convince myself to play. I now understand why there a few players out there with 8000 hours played and I 100% understand why this game has TERRIBLE overall reviews. The idea of what a gam…1 found this helpful
Didnt play too long but i see the vision, i see the potential. I like the graphics a lot tbh, reminds me of halo 3. I like the exploration, i like how it feels like no mans sky meets ark meets halo. Only thing that keeps me from playing more is the ui, feels like a mobile game. Once the UI is spruced up and the tutorials are a bit more polished i think it'll be awesome. Ill prolly return to this with a bought copy at a later date assuming i dont just own it now.1 found this helpful
To me this is what Star Citizen promised to be years ago. Don't expect an AAA title, but the game is interesting enough to explore, especially when you don't have a clue. I downloaded the demo, started the game, found myself crashing in an escape pod on some alien moon. Graphics are immersive, you can see rings and shadows in the clouded sky, a gas giant, an indicator for a space station, other moons. While walking around you encounter plants, animals, ruins, you can collect things, fight things. At this point it just looks like a nice open world explorer without tedious mandatory tutorials or opening scenes to paint a narrative, and apparently there are many more planets to visit and things to craft. On sale for €7,99, that's a bargain.1 found this helpful
