About The Patient
Dr. Ellen Reed returns to work as a therapist only to discover an inpatient has been mistakenly dosed with a deadly mutative drug. With hospital records erased due to a power outage, she must work overnight to identify and discreetly euthanize the affected patient before it's too late.

Tl;dr: Good atmosphere and decent PSX graphics, but extremely tedious and boring gameplay. It hurts me that I cannot recommend this game. It really does. There are most certainly good things here. The PSX style graphics are very well done and, combined with the subdued ambient soundtrack, provide some effective atmosphere. The game concept is also fairly interesting: You are alone at a hospital late at night where, due to a simple spelling error, one of your 10 patients was mistakenly injected with an experimental, mutagenic drug. It is your task to figure out which patient is compromised so they can be "dealt with" before they turn and go on a rampage. Now if you think this all sounds like an exciting idea for a horror game, you'd be right! Unfortunately the gameplay does not live up to that potential. It is boring, tedious and success is largely determined by RNG. Buckle up, I have a lot to say and will spoil the entire game. If you still want to support the developers, buy the game. Despite the negative review, I want to encourage it so that they can learn and do it better next time. This is how it works: In order to figure out which patient will …3 found this helpful
Despite what a few of the players on here have said about the game in regards to being able to run, the game is beatable & can be quite addictive if you push yourself hard enough. While it would be nice to have a run button for the people who want to save that extra bit of time, I think the real issue lies with how the game makes it mandatory to find all 4 codes before you are able to access the patient records. This may seem a little nit picky but for me, the game is purely based on RNG, so expect to die a lot before you finall are able to figure it out, which is why I mentioned that perhaps you should be allowed t guess the code if you want to. It is possible however to guess the patient if you really want to try & speed run this game, but I don't recommend this. The game is very well presented with very good replication of the PSX era with dithering, affine warping & more. Overall, despite it's rather (sometimes annoying) flaw in the RNG, I do recommend picking it up. The devs have clearly put a lot of effort & time into it, and I hope they expand on the game in the future. Not only this, the price of the game is cheaper than a cup of coffee & I think anyone arguing over t…3 found this helpful
it's short and seems like you can replay it once or twice I guess if you fail, since it randomizes the solution. the bad ending is kinda lazy though, it's the same as if you took too long.2 found this helpful
it was a good time and felt like i was on the edge the entire time, definitely recommend for the price.2 found this helpful
This game is a treat, though I have some things to say. First off, a sprint button would be great- Especially for the long hallway downstairs. As a fellow game developer and designer, I understand that this choice was probably intentional, but considering it's an RNG-based time-attack, this would have helped ever so slightly with 'balancing'. Speaking of which; the RNG. Good God, it's rough. Without really spoiling too much, let's just say that the ability to win this game is entirely up to the game itself. Some balancing/countermeasures for the player- or just a different puzzle method altogether would be great to improve this game and make it more enjoyable. Once again, I understand that this was probably very intentional, but it comes off as very frustrating at times. Qualms aside, this game is beautiful. The visual style is that classic, charming 5th gen console look in the vein of the PS1. The sound design and soundtrack is phenomenal, and just the overall presentation is great. I wish there was more to explore with unique events and secrets, too! Perhaps in the coming updates, devs? :) For this price, you really can't go wrong. Even with its flaws, what we have here is ve…1 found this helpful
Genuinely such a waste of time. Relies on RNG and theres absolutely no deduction. Really cool idea and could be good but... not in this state.
