A delightful little game that feels highly reminiscent of older classics like Chocolatier and Tradewinds. What makes it stand out, however, is its central goal: improving the diets and nutrition of people around the world. This deeper purpose sets it apart from a simple trade management game and helps immerse the player in the world. While some of the mechanics can become a bit repetitive, the engaging story and the characters you meet along the way more than make up for the monotony. Overall, I would recommend "The Road to Harvest: Food From Across the Ocean."1 found this helpful
Sailing, pirates, food and trading all in one game. For the price I paid for the game, it is worth the money. Too bad you don't get to control the sailing, but that's okay. The main objective of the game is the increase the global diet score by promoting new recipes and producing new/existing ingredients. They reduced the number of ports down to about 14 comparing to games like Sailing Era and Uncharted Waters. There are enough tasks and side quests to get a player busy. I finished the main storyline in about 13 hours. So pretty short game.
Enjoyed this a lot!
A delightful little game with a lot of charm one of the better trade games I've ever played also, the english translation is really good

Everything these days seems to be all about bleak settings with dull colour palettes. I just wanted something positive and colourful, and thank goodness, I found it! (Don't get me wrong, I love Frostpunk, but I don't want every game to be like it.) While there are a couple of things that are a little annoying about this game after a while, such as if you can sail for 8 weeks (eg from Madrid to Mexico) and it passed via Hamburg for no reason instead of going directly, I love love love the various aspects of the game. Basically you follow a cosy storyline of being an intern who is fixing the mess the lazy God of Harvest left behind in a kind of semi alternate Earth. (Paris is in the Mediterranean where Rome would be in this world instead of further North in Europe, for example.) You collect recipes from all around the world while trying to improve the diets of the people around the world, and by doing so, you're boosting commerce as well. The game is full of nice little touches, and every location has its own style. When you go to Japan, you…
