In the mid 18th century the mighty armies of the great European empires are led into the first global world war, the Seven Years War. While Prussia struggles for existence against a superior alliance in Europe the fight for the colonies between Great Britain and France arises to gather dominance over the North American continent.

• Play 20 realtime campaigns ranging from the year 1750 to 1762, each with individual goals
• Coverage of the complete European and North american theatre with more than 110 cities and provinces including 13 nations
• Build up a huge economy with complex product chains to supply your people, armies and fleets
• Develop your cities and provinces to gain wealth and recruits and manage economic factors like jobless rates and people's wealth
• Establish trade on more than 20 goods with local markets, foreign nations and fight for control of narrow map resources
• Use a wide range of diplomatic measures like prisoner exchanges or joint military actions
• Build up your armies from a single named regiment to a complex division hierarchy and allocate a huge set of weapons
• Trade with natives like Huron or Irokese nations and take influence to gain valuable allies or native units
• Manage your officer corps with individual expertise depending on the type of arms and battle experience
• Set 10 different politics to change the direction of your economy ranging from trade liberalisation to food rations
• Research more than 90 technologies to increase your production efficiency or gain access to new buildings and units

I ve played all strategy games that are worth playing: Total Wars Hearts of Iron Company of Heroes Steel Division SGS Series Victoria Crusader Kings Europa Universalis and many many more... This game is the greatest ever warlike strategy simulation. -No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ turns, real time strategy where everything goes slowly as it is supposed to in the 18th century -Every battle is like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ war painting of the era (and you can manage which units to run on AI) -AI is very challenging but not too difficult, just realistic, as it must be for the game to be pleasing to play I began my first game with France where I declared war on Austria and subsequently England joined the war against me. In Europe I invaded Austrian Belgium where in a series of Battles and sieges I managed to kick out the Austrian coalition armies (Austrian, Holy Roman Empire, Bavaria, Hanvoer etc) In the American theater where I begin with only on field army small in size I have to defend my colonies. The redcoats tried to first take Montreal but we repelled them quickly having barricaded my small army in the hills outside of the city. Why did they release two pointless DLCs when the campaign, which is the very heart of the game, is a complete mess? The AI is totally nonexistent, so there's no point in playing the campaign. It's a total rip-off. Don't buy this game!

My favorite RTS game of all time is Grand Tactician Civil War when I saw that they had a Sever Years War version I knew I had to buy it. Don't listen to the negative reviews about this game I'd take it over any of the Total War games. If you're a tactician nerd like me you're gonna love this. It has everything such as managing logistics and supply lines, ability to blockade port and cut off the enemies supplies, fight guerrilla campaigns alongside your native allies, can customize your regiments, and sky is the limit when it comes to creating your own battle plans. I really hope they make an American Revolution DLC for this or a new game based around it I'd buy it at full price in a heartbeat.
fantastic game a good mix between vic 2 and total war:empire. the game is very scary at first so many menus and options but i'd suggest reading the gameplay basics guide someone made on the steam community page as well as doing the short tutorial as Britain
