About The Short Story Of A Riftkeeper
The Short Story Of A Riftkeeper is a short game about a Riftkeeper, one who is tasked to find and close any open doors in 'the Rifts' to prevent unwanted things from entering the universe.
Throughout a series of trips to 'the Rifts', the protagonist will slowly learn about himself and his background, and why he is doing what he is doing. With a voice coming from a radio as his only companion in this lonely job, he eventually has to face the truth of his story and accept the consequences.
- Collect a variety of items such as torchlights to help you in your journey in the dimly-lit Rifts
- Explore the randomly generated Rifts to close doors, and get out before your sanity hits zero
- Experience short, story-driven levels before ending with an infinite randomly-generated Rifts for players to experience at their own leisure

I was very intrigued by this game. I did not know what to expect at first but I was more interested by the unique approach this developer took to create this game. The rift sections felt like a mini-game that needs to be done in order to unlock the next part of the story, and little by little we learn about the main character's past. The upgrade system was pretty interesting as well, I found myself sticking to the flashlight and armor upgrades mostly since the "monsters" didn't really pose a danger, so the fireworks weren't needed. Overall, everything was well done and I praised the developer's creative mind to put this all together. I would imagine a bigger project and more time would allow this developer to make something fantastic, and I'd like to see what more comes out in the future1 found this helpful
