The Tower

chichenm game :-] it was very fun to play and explore the areas with my friends at my 500 man house party that took place yesterday on the 19th of November 2022 at my house.

"The Tower" is a lulzy, at least partially asset flipped Unreal tech demo/homework project or something, that looks like it was slapped together in the space of an afternoon. This is bad, real bad, and it makes me wonder why anyone in their right mind would published such an unpolished, incomplete feeling bit of software through Steam Direct. Waste of $100 that could have been spent on a game development course or something, if you ask me. What do you do in the game? Well, not much, there's just primitive fighting that looks like it was copy + pasted from a "How do I do third person combat in Unreal engine" tutorial. It's a clunky mess. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Like I get it developing a game is not easy but why do people release their work without even the simplest play test.
