About There Is a Way
There Is a Way is a cyclic maze adventure game in which you create the story of your character and solve the main puzzle of the game. You play as an unknown person, whose story is formed depending on the puzzles you solve and the path you choose, leading them to the exit. You decide where your main character will end up.
The action takes place in the scenery of San Francisco and Oakland, the atmosphere of which will allow you to understand and feel the whole range of moods experienced by the nameless hero on their life path. To find a way out of this maze and write the story of the main character, you have to find a job for them and solve several puzzles. The complexity of these quests and the quality with which you solve them will determine the fate of the character. The game has different types of quests. The choice between them also affects the course of the hero's story and the end result, so it is worth learning all the mechanics to open all the endings in the game.
Remember that there is no one-to-one scenario in the game and you are free to act as you wish. Use game tips, they will guide you toward more difficult challenges. Doing more skilled work will bring more income, which will allow you to open outcomes with larger wealth. In addition, you need to navigate not only the financials of the protagonist, but also the status of their relationship. I thought it was very short, but it's all about replay and different choices. The choices are attributed to which work path you choose and where you choose to work. Feel free to travel as soon as the option arrives! So far, I've done a few playthroughs, but on each, during the 'Love Choices', I am unable to 'sculpt' with the chisel. No interaction option appears. Other than that, the minigames for 'work' are fun, though I feel that the music minigames are more polished than programmer. I am enjoying this game so far! It is so chilled and not stressful, but also curious, deep and intellectual. It is very easy to find your way round, especially if you have listened through the tutorial and you know what you are doing. The maze is full of profound messages about life, love and relationships! Looks like the developers also have a psychology degree :D The logical puzzles are also very cool to guess how to solve, but you should be Ok after 5 mins ;)Tip 1: If you are on a Mac, make sure the adjust your game graphics options to remove camera effects and so on, it will run much faster and smoother. Tip 2: To carve a statue in the love maze, get the hammer and find a big boulder nearby that you can interact with. However I didn't manage to find a bulldozer. This game was kind of confusing and it literally gave me motion sickness. I had to step away before getting sick. I didn't really enjoy, I'm afraid.3 found this helpful
Knowing one of the creators personally by a lucky chance, I can feel how much sense and soul he put into this game. Although it is pretty simple in understanding and the game play is very "user-friendly", for me it's a game not where you just play, but feel, and maybe even come to some conclusions. Maybe you even have to play several times to get it. It's like you are living a couple of various lives there...in a way! One of my favorite things, as I am a complete visual, is the "Falling in love" part with the colors and moreover, the subcontext, sometimes so relatable and cute. Also this museum room in the end is another piece of praise they put into the game. I like the fact that you give a player a chance to collect cards. It's also nice and fun to look for these Splashies all around. But there is always room for improvement. Maybe next time you could create some navigation tool and make more complicated and diverse puzzles! For beginners it's so cool! It's a game for those who want to chill, lo-fi, think and riddle :D Like me. I hope to see more from you pretty soon when you feel like you are ready.1 found this helpful
