this game has a very relaxed mood. although puzzles themselves can get difficult, there aren't any hints, and i'm not a fan of "solve this puzzle before you can move on to the next" thing: i tend to get stuck and then there's no choice but to quit the game and hope i get a revelation next time i open it (or to check the guide for a solution) which means i can't play for long. however i like the visuals, calm music and subtle sound effects, and ofc there's nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment when i manage to solve a difficult puzzle all by myself. it's also fun to get to the next color and see what sort of weird new buttons it has. overall this is a good puzzle game, would recommend to people who enjoy puzzles. EDIT: there's a final puzzle after everything else is done, and then some bonus puzzles after that. it was pretty cool.

I find the core mechanism fundamentally uninteresting, which is something I didn't know before starting, and I agree with another reviewer here that these puzzles just end up feeling like brute force trial and error. I went through several puzzles and not a single one engendered that "Aha!" moment that I believe to be essential to any effective puzzle game.

Highly recommended! You start with a simple ruleset where you push a tile and all adjacent tiles switch. Then you get some new tiles that have special mechanics, like tiles that can raise other tiles but not be raised by other tiles, but the game never loses that core mechanic, and MAN does it get difficult sometimes! I loved it, what a great challenge.

Wayout is a minimalist puzzle game that proves how much challenge and depth can emerge from an extremely simple concept. At first glance, the game looks almost overly basic, presenting players with abstract boards made of interconnected tiles that react when activated. The objective appears straightforward, but the further players progress, the more the game transforms into a demanding mental exercise built around logic, pattern recognition, and careful planning. What starts as a calm and relaxing puzzle experience slowly becomes surprisingly intense as increasingly complicated boards force players to think several moves ahead while trying to avoid creating even bigger problems with every interaction. The core gameplay revolves around manipulating tiles that influence surrounding spaces whenever they are activated. Because every move changes the state of multiple sections of the board, solving puzzles requires more than random experimentation. Players gradually learn to analyze patterns, anticipate chain reactions, and recognize how seemingly small actions can affect the entire puzzle layout. The mechanics are simple enough to understand quickly, but the complexity comes from how …
