To each and every one of you that has a go at They Yearn For The Mines thank you and I hope there is some good feedback, I appreciate you all this is my first ever Steam release of a game and is exciting but also scary just knowing how games can be recieved.As an indie dev and a new one I know I cant have the most polished and beautiful work of art but lets hope in the future and with you guys help They Yearn For The Mines can turn into an amazing fun game with countless things to do while you spend your time in it I will definetly be actively updating for the foreseeable future!

Such a fun game! I was playing with my daughter this morning and we were competing to see who could clear the most levels. It is really rewarding to unlock the cosmetic items as you progress through the levels and gear up your goblin in style! The levels are a good mix of challenge, frustration, fun, skill and hilarity at the wild ragdoll effects. I would recommend this game if you like parkour Obbies in Roblox or fun skill challenge games with minimal downside to failure and a fun, light-hearted vibe.5 found this helpful
A fun little game. I played through all 30 levels of the first area, attempted the first challenge run and did the first level or two of the other maps. I found the movement to be smooth and responsive, though the slide did seem to last a bit long at times. A few times during the challenge run it seemed to throw all the minecarts instead of the run it should be, and my gobbo was thrown off and away from the map. I also like how the other maps have different music, was very nice. Some suggestions though; - The lighting was ok until it got to the flickering lights. Maybe changing the bright lights to be more of a candlelight would make the transition less harsh? - An option to pause the game mid run. - A settings menu with music slider would be good. Loved the music, though at times got a bit repetitive.2 found this helpful
I will preface this review by stating I did receive this game for free after meeting the developer and his lovely partner. This review does not reflect on the people, but on the game, so lets get to it! First up, This review is only after the first 20 levels in Shimmerglow Mine, so there is still plenty to come. This is a simple autorun to the end game. I found myself "crashing" out so many times because I was too busy bopping away instead of paying attention. The further I go in levels, the longer the level, the longer the tune, the more prone to crashing. Really fun though, and so far has not frustrated me like many other games of a similar style do. The negatives? Well for me I found the lights were too bright. Im not going to mark down on that, because I tend to live in the dark and have a light sensitivity, especially playing at night. The only other negative was that I felt the slide mechanic went a bit too long compared to the jump mechanic. often i found it difficult to transition from slide to slide, or slide to jump. All in all, I would give the game a solid 8/10. A biased score would be 9/10 because I met the kind people behind it, but I have to be fair to everyone …2 found this helpful

And the challenge stage especially the third level needs balancing. Other than that it is a fun little game where you will be compelled to fall. And fall. And fall1 found this helpful
