What makes it good is that it's not [i]just[/i] a fun twist, it's a whole game with frantic action, arcade-y progression systems and really innovative ideas. Some levels might task you with avoiding spiky walls, while some others will add some obstacles such as flippers. It's nothing too crazy, but when you get in the middle of the action, juggling more than five balls while trying to active special abilities and avoiding enemies, [b]Things That Bounce and Explode[/b] can be pretty fun. It's a new, creative twist on a genre that's too rigid for its own good and sometimes, it's exactly the kind of niche game that you need. I absolutely recommend buying it and giving it a try! I'll now take into account some some titles of this genre that I have accurately selected. After "Breakquest"(in custom arcade mode 9/10) and "Ionball:Ion Storm"(7.2/10),this is for me the third best brick breaker game. Instead,I gave "Breakout Recharged" a 5/10,and to "Hot Pink" a desolating 1/10, despite its captivating and energetic electrodance musical theme. Instead,regarding this game: shame about its short duration,the vertical resolution that takes up only a fraction of the monitor, the same music theme in each(clone)level, almost identical visual assets (only their color changes) but it's pretty and cozy 6.8/10

This game is awesome!! Once you start to play, it's hard to stop playing it! Lots of power ups, upgrades, random stages, everything that guarantees a high replayabilty. As a fan of both brick breaker and shmup genres, I absolutely LOVE this game and 100% recommend it!
