Three of Cards

a short 2 hour-ish long game with a really emotional and well written story but kind of repetitive gameplay. the story is completely original and so is the gameplay, plus its free so theres no reason not to try it.

From Sejong University, students got a homework assignment to make "Three of Cards." The students were clearly mistaught that it's fine to release obsolete 2D games in the 3D era. 3D graphics cards became ubiquitous in every single gaming PC ever since the 1990's when the ATI Rage and Voodoo3 hit the scene. Any professional development business that sees a prospective hire who doesn't know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid 1990's with the Voodoo3 and ATI Rage probably isn't going to give them a job. Bad for the students, and what is this delivering for us gamers in the 3D gaming era? The students made a rather bland and uninspiring 2D side view action/adventure game where you take on the role of a magician with magical cards and you break into an insurance company to get revenge. Certainly not a great plot. You engage in mini-card activities like using them as weapons or hacking. We also have to question what value there is for gamers on Steam when institutions flood the store with low quality 2D video game homework assignments... sure, it might make the students feel good about themselves, but this has no benefit for gamers who have to wade through this stuff to find…

Awesome game! Decent 2-3 hours of playtime, good story, good mechanics that feel challenging but not overbearing, and a really nice art style. A little rough around the edges in terms of animation and translation, but I'm willing to disregard those in favor of the story and mechanics.

Three of Cards is a pretty good superhero stealth game that’s all so free, now this is the part where I talk about the story, but I can't really talk too much about it without spoiling the whole thing, so I'll just say you play as a magician who is trying to rob an office building. Now then the likes, the gameplay is pretty good it's a bit of a puzzle kind of game, you basically have to sneak around and hack computers while also avoiding capture by using playing cards and disguises, while also dealing with the office workers in the building. It starts off simple enough but it does get a bit more complicated as you proceed, but otherwise it's not too hard, but there are some problems with it but that's for the dislikes. The story was good it does have a problem, but again same thing with the gameplay that's for dislikes. But I could understand the story and it was quite thrilling and tragic it's a certainly a type of story that will resonate with a lot of people probably people that have gone through similar situations as our main character. Дизайн игры минималистичен, но это работает в ее пользу, не отвлекая от игрового процесса. Радует наличие различных режимов игры и возможность сразиться с друзьями или случайными игроками онлайн. Однако, игра не лишена недостатков. Иной раз, приходится сталкиваться с откровенным везением соперника, что может разочаровать, особенно при плохой серии. Также, хотелось бы видеть больше разнообразия в визуальном оформлении и, возможно, добавление новых карт с уникальными свойствами, чтобы освежить геймплей со временем. В целом, "Three of Cards" – это отличная карточная игра для тех, кто ищет что-то простое в освоении, но при этом достаточно увлекательное и умственное. Рекомендую попробовать!
