About Throttle Powah VR

Throttle Powah is a fresh VR multiplayer racing, maneuver and freestyle experience.
Each controller is a monowheel motorized rocket. You have freedom to race and perform freestyle jumps and maneuvers in VR using the physics principle of sports like snowboard, skate and motocross. There is also a Multiplayer Soccer Arena totally physics-based where players can score awesome goals.

Open World Map

Throttle Powah is in early stages of development but has a big open world map with lot's of tracks, ramps, soccer arena and crazy circuits.
It will be better, most 3D models and Texture are still placeholder or work in progress.

Multiplayer

Connect to 3 different servers: North America, Europe and South America. Play together, chase, release smoke in their face, race online and score your time on online leaderboards.

Concept

There are almost no VR racing games out there that makes use of the controller to transform the player into the vehicle, so Throttle Powah was born to fulfill it's destiny by presenting what can be done with VR technology.

Platform

Throttle Powah is currently working on HTC Vive and Oculus.

Hardcore

It's also directed to experienced VR players and can cause motion sickness (especially while using grip buttons to perform freestyle maneuvers).

Bugs and Glitches
  • Wheels will sometimes visually flick, it's a known bug, but nothing really serious.

Tips
  • Stand Up, it's time to immerse yourself.
  • Turn your body to where you want to go, try to forget the headset cable.
  • Time your boosts, the moment will come when you'll miss having more, trust me.

The game is original, and made me clench my butt more than a few times, its fast, easy to get the hang of, and has great performance. I really liked the method to move around, it "feels natural"? like the physics are very well done, i loved exploring the racetracks and just following it to see where it took me... But other than a big racetrack, and a rocket league arena, there is nothing to do... I get the game is a multiplayer racing game but... there are no other players, it could be turned into a single player exploration game, give me random, go there, grab that, bring it over here, add upgrades to the boost or whatever and id love it. Right now its an empty desolate land, but great agile movement the map while empty really was worth "exploring" as in doing the full lap... its really big and challenging at parts. The races would be great if i could find other people to race. Im recommending this because i got it on sale like 90% off iirc, and i consider that that price was too low. But at the same time the full price feels too high.

Do you want motorcycle arms? Because if you play this game you get motorcycle arms. The environments are a little plane and there only seem to be two tracks, but what's here is fun. If you get motion sickness in VR stay away.

This is an extremely fun and very unique game! I saw it while browsing some VR titles and was hooked. It looked so fun to play. The races seemed cool and the stunts I saw in the trailer were amazing! I figured its only 5 bucks and I've almost got that much value watching the trailer 3 times back to back. So happy I grabbed it! Racing around was a blast just zooming around these crazy hot wheels like tracks trying to balance going as fast as I can without launching my self off one of the turns! The stunts took me a few minutes to kinda figure out how to time the spin grip button but once I did I was having the time of my life!! I spent the next good chunk of time spinning and barrel rolling all over those snowy mountains having a blast! I ended my session tonight by jumping into the online servers and did a race. I saw after that I have #9 in one of the race leaderboards on the steam page. So if any of you guys that used to play happen to see this just know that its time to come back and defend those titles or I'm going to slowly climb to the top of all of them!! See you guys in there hopefully!! Also for what its worth the soundtrack is SO GOOD! "The Spin Wires" get a good spotl…
