Starting off, I love tintin and when i heard about this game before release i was so excited. then it released and i heard alot of negative reviews due to bugs. so I held off buying it, hoping the monopoly holders at moulinsart would force a fix and better support. it did get patched, kinda. theres quite a few irritating puzzles and controls. it plays like a WII game, poorly translated to mouse and keyboard. the Concept of the game is great, the art style is good and authentic to the setting. Voice acting is terrible, why are indians speaking in an american accent? its just really poorly directed in this sense. maybe the french native language has better acting? im not sure. its very similar to a point and click game to a point where its just walk and interact. Nonetheless, Im glad they made a tintin game, im just sad its fallen short and has probably harmed any future ideas of a Tintin adventure game.5 found this helpful
I'm a big fan of Tintin comics, which makes this even more disappointing. The game feels very childish compared to the books, with weak writing and bad voice acting. Gameplay is clunky and outdated, like a low budget early Wii game aimed at under 10s. It quickly becomes boring, with repetitive sequences. Also, why give a Belgian character a strong British accent? this game feels cheap, childish and underwhelming. not worth it even on sale.3 found this helpful
I really enjoyed this game even though it's not really my genre. I got stuck in the Canyon - Plane sequence and kept putting it to one side (for months) but I finally got through it. It was fun and enjoyable. I am hoping for a sequel but not sure if that is happening or not
Surprisingly very good, especially considering the sale price I picked it up for. No bugs whatsoever, the all the early complaints have been patched
As a fan of TINTIN, I think this was a great adaptation of a phenomenal book. Plus the voice acting is great.
Very clunky game, but if you're a Tintinophile, like me, you will love it!
