About Tonya The Killer
🎮 TONYA – STEAM GAME DESCRIPTION
“Who are you?”
“I don't know. But I'm here now.”
🧠 STORY
The world is broken. Lawless. Trustless.
And in the midst of this decay, a woman appears—Tonya.
Nobody knows where she came from. She never talks about it. All she wants is a place to rest, a town to call home. What she finds instead... is another broken system.
Tonya enters a dusty town ruled by a sheriff who claims to stand for justice—but whose actions say otherwise. At first, she helps him. She completes jobs, patrols the streets, and restores order. But cracks in the sheriff’s facade quickly begin to show.
Behind the badge lies control. Fear. Oppression.
Tonya starts working with the bartender instead—a once-respected figure who now trades in secrets and supplies. Through him, Tonya begins trading with other settlements, learning the web of corruption that holds the town in place.
Eventually, her goal becomes clear: Destroy the sheriff’s system from the inside.
This is not just a story of survival. It’s a slow-burning rebellion.
And Tonya is the spark.

So I wanted to give this game a try, and for 18 minutes, I truly did. Now I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but hear me out. Outside of dying a few times due to the somewhat unusual controls and aiming, I finally managed to defeat all the enemies in the first room, just to not be able to progress outside of the room at all. There's no walking off screen, as far as I can tell there's no way to interact with anything, and the game doesn't tell you anything, not even a controls menu in the options. I even closed and reopened the game several times, re-defeating the enemies just to end up in the exact same place. I tried asking in the discussion how to progress, but haven't gotten a response. According to SteamDB, only me and one other person has ever played this game since it's release, and unfortunately I think I understand why. There is also no story from what I've been able to see in my short time playing the game. It literally just starts with a guy shouting "There she is!" Or something along those lines, tells you to attack using Q and 1, and then that's it.1 found this helpful
