A 'Live Action' train driving simulation featuring a stretch of the UK's Brighton Main Line.
Enjoy the charm of one of the UK’s oldest and most enchanting railways from the best available viewpoint – the driver’s seat!
Hammer through urban sprawl, rolling fields and famous tunnels at 90 MPH in all weathers and at any time of your choosing.
Built by rail simulator enthusiasts ( in tribute to “Southern Belle” ), Train Operator 377 is inspired by footage based training simulators and emphasises realistic driving performance including dynamic signalling, weight and weather dependent braking, operational safety systems and even hazards on the line!
This is a free version of our full simulation, also available on Steam. The full simulation is payware and provides the entire Brighton Main Line ( London Bridge branch ), drivable in both directions.
This free version features the line from Brighton to Three Bridges and it's only possible to drive north bound.
Otherwise, the feature sets are identical.
Simulation Features:

Multiple weather themes with a variable weather generator.

i like trains
"Train Operator 377 Free Version" is a game I really liked the idea of... this is a train simulator but it uses FMV footage of actual train journeys... can't get better graphics than real life! Unfortunately the UI is a disaster and it's a confounding mess to try to understand to play. The core technology is great but the back end and game design needs a lot of work... but I dare say if they did put in the effort there, this would have been a fully marketable product that would probably kick the butt out of the existing, stupidly overpriced Train Sim games (Some of which have over $3000 of scam tier DLC!!!) The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked …
There's no guide. Doesn't explain the keys to the game. There's only a tab with some key functions. Would be beter if there was a tutorial or an keybind section.
Not sure what century they got that footage from, but i was expecting Charlie Chaplin to appear on a train platform at any moment
