Trap welcome to Beryl Part 1

Let me say this: we don't get enough games like this. So many games try to push above and beyond with some deep story or game mechanic as a selling point so they can stand out. The reality is that sometimes I want video games to be just what they are: video games. Nothing big, AAA title that will wow me that would cost me 70 AUD to shell out; no, I want a basic game with a basic story and basic mechanics. It's all I ever ask for, and this delivers. If every game developer and publisher made at least one game like this, the gaming world would be a better place.

Самым проблемным аспектом является недосказанность. Игра резко обрывается, не давая толком погрузиться в мир и взаимоотношения между героями. Ощущение, что это лишь тизер к будущему, а не полноценная часть истории. Тем не менее, потенциал у игры есть. Интересный сеттинг и привлекательный дизайн могут стать отличной базой для развития. Если разработчики добавят больше геймплейных элементов и контента, "Trap: Welcome to Beryl" сможет стать достойным представителем жанра визуальных новелл. Пока же, это лишь многообещающее начало.

"Trap welcome to Beryl Part 1" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Trap Welcome to Beryl". Trap Welcome to Beryl is locked behind DLC attached to this advert... scummy, misleading pricing which is never okay. And wow, why would anyone bother? This is a garbage RPG Maker kitbash... the pixelcrap game assets are so bad it's hard to tell which bits are flipped from RPG Maker stock assets and which are original and crap. The only notable thing here is that the developer couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a crappy Final Fantasy ripoff (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). So instead they made a side scrolling adventure game with some very cringe fan-fiction tier writing. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Trap Welcome to Beryl, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense …

Scary ass video game, beware, this game is really f**ken scary.
