Trimjob is a short, breezy arcade-style single screen golf game which layers on new mechanics in its ~1 hr playtime. The core gameplay is solid, and the presentation (especially the announcer) is delightful; you get a serious dopamine rush whenever you hit the perfect shot. You have to pretty joyless not to like this one, even if it's incredibly light on content. Theoretically, you could go for some of the achievements, but I doubt most players will feel the need to do so. Rather, you'll play the 4 courses, beat them very quickly (I beat them all on my first try, except one), and move on. The whole thing is very easy (and can somehow be made even easier, with a casual mode), with par numbers that are way too generous, so don't expect to get challenged. I found this a bit disappointing, as the achievements look too annoying to aim for, but the main mode is too easy to really push me at all. The joy I found here was instead in the presentation, and seeing each new mechanic that the game slowly introduced. It's pretty neat. So yeah, it's a cheap, simple and easy game. Not a masterpiece by any stretch, but a small passion project that deserves some love. I had fun with it.

Fun, short lil game with a lot of personality with its theme, soundtrack and announcer. At times it's hard to see how you could get the trim-in-one but that's where the replayability comes in. Feels like a game I could've seen in UFO50

You control a pair of trimmers and your job is simple, you trim the grass. When it comes to puzzle games, the simpler the concept the tougher the challenge. You will, without a doubt, be able to complete every level but does it feel satisfying that it took you 4 actions when it’s definitely possible to finish it one? Take the trimmers and your mini golf skills (yeah, it’s basically golf but cooler), and test how many levels you can finish in one shot. The game is also super cheap and perfect if you got only 5 minutes to spare. Curious about more indie games? Check out my website: https://freakingindie.com
