A tight, deceptively deep gameplay loop wrapped up in an aesthetically pleasing package, with tons of fun bonus challenges and a wealth of unlockables. Simple game, though you get a great grasp of how well thought out it is as you play.
You might think a Game & Watch styled game wouldn't be that exciting, but Garden Guardian is INCREDIBLY fun and packed with a surprising amount of content! + Gameplay is fun and chaotic, having to harvest fruit AND feed the plant AND fight bugs makes it really involved and tense + LOTS to do with different speed difficulties, lots of challenges, and art to unlock + The world is SO cool! I genuinely would LOVE more games set in this world. A Gazelle satyr is such a unique idea. - Some of those challenges are stupid brutal but yes, this is a skill issue (I did beat them all though) - I think a custom mode or a mode where it randomly changes to different trial settings at random intervals could be neat!

Bought Garden Guardian around launch and was surprised at how quickly time passed while playing it--it's really fun! It looks and feels great, is easy to jump into and play, and has some difficult achievements for those who like a challenge. It's a really generous package for the price and I definitely recommend it!
